The great piano music for this clip was played by my father-in-law, Phil Svigals who was the orchestra pianist and arranger for Sid and The Show of Shows. He was classically trained and as a young man played piano for silent movies in NY. I was thrilled to find this!

Brilliant! Thanx muchly for sharing this little gem! I miss Sid Caesar, and his Your Show of Shows. And Hollywood Palace, Ed Sullivan, and other variety shows. Thanx for showing the full skit. I’ve never understood why people thought Chaplin was “a comic genius”. After 5 mins he was boring and as a straight actor mediocre.
