One of the best tests of authenticity of a Master of any tradition; Spirituality, Martial Arts or Science and Mathematics is whether they point to their own Masters in the Tradition. I have often found that if a self-proclaimed “master” says He/ She came up with their Knowledge all be themselves, they are often charlatans !!

it isn't so fun listening to Mooji's question 'can the seer be seen' because when the meditation on that question is done thoroughly and with great intent... there doesn't seem to be any seer that sees the seen to be found or felt or noticed or realized or intuited or known or discovered or be, being, been etc. frustrating because he acts like he is actually referring to some non-thing or something that has some type of valid answer. like he's pointing or hinting at something or some non-thing etc. but it's just not being shown here when I put the effort in earnestly to try and answer the question or to see what he's pointing to or referring to. yet all the while there is the strong sense of yeah for sure this is worth considering. but nothing ever comes of the meditation. I also have the same type of issues with the ideas of awareness or consciousness or the 'I-Am-ness' or the 'that by which I know that I am or exist' etc.

what makes what is referred to by these saints and sages even a 'self' or 'Self' at all?
@SamaneriJayasara17 сағат бұрын
Forgetting illusion means to not grasp at anything, including the words and pointers of the Masters. If you could directly perceive what they were saying without the use of words then there would be no need for words or concepts. Can you? We live within the confines and limitations of language, and the Masters do their best to formulate it. Your job is to go beyond them and Be the reality, not conceptualise it.
@StrawbrielPeppahzu16 сағат бұрын
@@SamaneriJayasara all I can seem to see or perceive is all entirely physical. doesn't seem to be anything that I see or perceive that isn't physical. all seems to be related to the bodily functioning or could be explained by the bodily functioning. I feel as if UG Krishnamurti or Nancy Neithercut resonate with me more than advaita or zen does, but my intention is that what Maharaj said comes true for me. nonetheless the anomalies UG and Nancy are much more relateable in some ways. spirituality has really only proven to be a farce.
@SamaneriJayasara16 сағат бұрын
@@StrawbrielPeppahzu Of course it feels like a farce if you are stuck on this physical reality. Perceiving with the eye of wisdom is entirely different than perceiving with the physical eye or the intellect/mind. Be careful of falling into nihilism. Learn not to trust your thoughts (or the thoughts of others) and come home to your naked simplicity and uncluttered awareness. Not much more can or needs to be said from here. You either follow the path of the heart or remain stuck. I do sincerely wish you well though. 💜

Bahiya Sutta: "Herein, Bahiya, you should train yourself thus: 'In the seen will be merely what is seen; in the heard will be merely what is heard; in the sensed will be merely what is sensed; in the cognized will be merely what is cognized.' In this way you should train yourself, Bahiya. "When, Bahiya, for you in the seen is merely what is seen... in the cognized is merely what is cognized, then, Bahiya, you will not be 'with that.' When, Bahiya, you are not 'with that,' then, Bahiya, you will not be 'in that.' When, Bahiya, you are not 'in that,' then, Bahiya, you will be neither here nor beyond nor in between the two. Just this is the end of suffering." 🙏🏼
