It is more to do with Regionalism, Casteism or simply "hate" and "jealousy" for the other. There is no feeling of respect for fellow citizen, and there's a constant fear of "They will become better than us!". The same corrupt congress leaders are treated as heroes when they join BJP. The utter disdain for welfare of citizens is visible in All politicians of BJP and Congress alike. Instead of building Hospitals and World class educational institutions, what we are getting? Statues (built by Chinese), Bullet train from Ahmedabad to Mumbai (built by Japanese, and how many Indians will benefit? not even 1%). What's the rationale of wasting Billions of Dollars on Trains and Statues and Buildings, when basic infrastructure is lacking, just show-off. And building Central Vista when poor Indian citizens are dying of lack of hospitals and medical facilities and black-marketing. This shows that the Indian Politicians are just there for looting and nothing else. This US liquidity based Stock Market rallies have helped Indian investors and traders. In short it is the "Us vs them" mentality among Indians divided by their caste, sect, religion, language, region, etc.
