Each & every member of this team is striving & going towards excellence, is what I can say for this performance. Fantastic it sounds & appears to the audience. Almost as close to original it can get. Firstly, the one man chorus sounded so well prepared & in his own small way contributed to the performance. I think in future he can rise to singing in the voice of R D Burman. Secondly each & every member of the orchestra played their part so well & with perfect timing & synchronisation, is to be appreciated & applauded (in particular the brass section & the flute play). Thirdly, the vocals of shailaja ji is super duper, you have sung softly & with a reasonable throw at apt places. Especially the way you have pronounced "aa" is so beautiful & soft, you have able to avoid the unnecessary flutter in prolonged notes which had crept in your recent singing in some of your songs. But if you'll are passionate & feel that there can be STILL room for improvement, then it is at two places according to me (how so ever minor it may be, but can add to your excellence). First, when the vocals (mukhdaa) starts at the normal pace, that time the small strokes of keyboard (which sounds almost like guitar strokes) with suttle change in the notes should be a bit loud in volume as in the original song, it should be almost as loud as the vocals. I don't know, whether it may be achieved through the sound engineer or through loud playing. Secondly, at the beginning of both the antaraas, after the aalaap, there should be a one second break & then the lyrics singing in the same volume as in the aalaap. Somehow the aalaap & the lyrics are continuous & the first two three words of the lyrics could barely be heard (its gone over soft). Except for these two things, it was FANTASTIC. Keep up the great work. God bless you all for entertaining us so excellently. Hats off to you'll.
