Side Blown Flute Embouchure - secret of how to get a GREAT sound!

I have been struggling to play my beautiful side blown flute with the Egyptian scale for years. I keep giving up because it seems I just can't get the embouchure right. Maybe my mouth is not the right shape or my lips don't purse the ways others do but all I can say is that it's very frustrating!
