The combo lens that cloudrays sells, plus the water/Borax mixture, with low power settings (about 14% power and 450mm per sec) on my 100 watt co2 does decent photos.

Good video, I have been running lasers since the mid 90s. I have run Epilogs and RMI lasers now and I will stick with Epilog.

Great comparison. I love my P2 and XCS but if I had to do it over again, I would get the Bolt. Can you do a video with the rotary attachment for the Bolt?

Great video, Matt! I have two xtool entry style lasers and am shopping for an upgrade. I have had "decent" customer service experience with Xtool, but considering Xtool's F1 Ultra debacle, I'm looking elsewhere. It's between Thunder and Aeon. Keep up the good work, buddy!

@ggavati9809 on the official and unofficial Xtool Facebook pages, there are quite a few complaints about certain aspects of the Ultra that don't work as advertised, such as batch engraving... There are some quality control issues as well. A bunch of complaints are also about software glitches, which is a problem because many of the special functions are exclusively dependent on Xtool's software, XCS. I canceled my order and began doing research, and there are a TON of quality fiber lasers out there for less money. Just my opinion.

I have a Thunder Laser Nova 35/100 watt since 2021. Love it! That Bolt look sweet! When I research to buy a laser back then .. the XTool cloud based software turned me off completely! You have to pay for additional fonts? Really? Get rid of their pay-as-you-use scheme .. even if you need to increase the base cost of each machine .. I may reconsider for my next machine.

Hey Matt, you mentioned that the Bolt was giving you amazing engravings and beats out the CO2 engravings. How would your Nova 51 engravings compare to the Bolt. Thanks for your thoughts!

The bolt can do smaller and fine detail compared to any other CO2 laser because the beam is so much smaller

First let me say I hate everything about xTool, but I bet you the P2 can cut 1/4" wood faster than the Bolt can. The Bolt shines when engraving, cutting...not so much. Would love to see some video showing a cutting comparison between the 2 lasers on 1/8" and 1/4" wood and acrylic.
