Is it too much ? Or is it more than they want to give ? 🤔 People really try to make you feel bad when they feel guilty for not being able to match what you give

Yes ma'am! Definitely a factor as well. I learned that from trial and error lol.

I think that sometimes being “too much” for many people means that they are experiencing another individual do, say or behave in a way that feels uncomfortable to them. Behavior that often feels obnoxious, loud, overly opinionated, intrusive, inconsiderate, loud and wrong or just down right rude. You can also be too much to others when you’re seen as too rigid with your ideologies and principles.

A lot of people are considered too much just for being open depictions of authenticity. The honesty, confidence, rawness of you feels like a personal attack on people who are quite comfortable with fakeness. Don’t water yourself down, just keep celebrating who you are and try to find YOUR people. Spoken as someone taking their own advice.

It is your boldness, openness, rawness... how could you not be.... it is our island thing. You grew up with a Grenadian mom so we are raw, bold, outspoken. Who don't like it, well sorry for them. This is who she is

In my observation and personal experience in theater, I've noticed that the concept of being 'too much' appears to be more rooted in Western cultures. When I moved from Curaçao to the Netherlands, I encountered, and continue to encounter, individuals who try to limit one's freedom of expression. I've found that Caribbean cultures, in the places I've experienced, are much more embracing of expressive behavior. They embrace diversity, whether it's through a loud voice or animated body language, considering it a natural aspect of life. Of course, this is just my subjective perspective based on my personal experiences.

i once had a friend call me intense and it threw me off because i know for sure I'm not an intense person. i don't typically center myself enough to be intense. but then i realised it's easy to claim someones intense when you move through this life apathetic.
