Thanks Trevor, that is a massive drill, a long way from the 14' MF 30 drill I remember on the farm!
@TrevorStruthers4 ай бұрын
Oh for sure! Way bigger. We all have some old drills and rods and a plow in storage. Just incase the chemicals stop working and we gotta go back to the old ways. Thank you also for the buymeacoffee! Made my day. Have a good one!

Outstanding drone footage Trevor. You are mastering your new toy quickly. Beautiful footage, the uphill turns are a hard pull, makes the engine bark.

Thank you! Some shots are hard to do. I got lucky with the light that day though.

Didn't know you where still using anhydrous gas been yrs since used gas. Great pictures of home always enjoy the show. Just a thought that was always the time of day I liked bird hunting there in the late afternoon. 😊😊

I’d pay money to ride around those hills on a four wheeler with a carton beer and watch seeding going on.. Cheers from Western Australia

Haha! Yeah, its a cool location to watch farming. Some fields are just a big hill that you can see from the road. People do stop now and again to get photos

One thing about using anhydrous.. no gophers or moles!! I'd love to use some here, but no suppliers here handle it. I've seen semis on the highway hauling it, but not to any agricultural suppliers, it's all to industrial manufacturing facilities, no idea what they use it for.. I'd settle for a small bottle of it, put some down the gopher and mole runs.. Thanks Trevor!! Always love seeing farming in your hills!!

Another nice video, with excellent drone work! Maybe explain, for your new non farmer fans, what anhydrous is, maybe explain all the chemical. Lots of viewers may not be farmers. Hopefully you can expand your audience...

You guys should give agpro drills a try. They have demo drills as well as rentals and they are designed specifically for that ground, we’ve seen amazing results with them.

The cart is made by ag pro in this video. This spring i got video of another farmer also using them.

Beautiful landscape. Do they have GPS/RTK controlled machines in this terrain? It would be difficult to keep the lines straight in such hilly landscape.
@TrevorStruthers4 ай бұрын
Yeah we have it and use it on side hills. Theres terrain compensation that knows your roll and pitch angle and changes the GPS position accordingly. Auto-steer keeping it online could destroy the dirt though or kick out because it cant keep it on the line.

Is it continuous planted with wheat or something else?
@TrevorStruthers4 ай бұрын
Wheat then fallow for a year to wait for moisture. If there was the moisture, we would most likely use peas to fix nitrogen or back to back recrop wheat, yeah.

Painting the hills in wheat! Do you guys ever need to rotate crop or does wheat generally grow without issue replanted each season?
@TrevorStruthers4 ай бұрын
Theres mountain land south of here ive heard that has been wheat for 31 years straight. Where theres less moisture we go fallow for a year and if theres a bit of excess moisture…we plant legumes to fix nitrogen. Peas or garbanzo beans the years theres not wheat, to help the wheat. Dry peas aint worth much
