Honestly if Tartar comes back I'll be very disappointed. Splatoon is like Kirby, they always surprise us with something new, and 50% the reason buys this DLC is the narrative. What I think it's that the Goen could have taken over Tartar's technology after his death. Honestly, a tyrant that enslaves society would be as frightening as the "extinction" events of the bad endings. Imagine that the bad ending of Side Order is the Inklings and Octolings are forced to participate in a war against other species to take over the Planet. And you see a cinematic of your character outside the DLC shooting Jellyfish or other creatures against their will or they'll be killed because Eight lost. Why wouldn't some creature want to take over such an advanced society? Glen, with machines as powerful as the ones from Tartar could perfectly do whatever he wanted. And knowing he's a narcissist... Imagine a society around him, a perfectly ordered society, like a true dictator.

I was looking at the scrolls in splatoon 3 to see if there were any hints to anything. The page on the wanted marigolds didn’t seem right, as Nintendo probably would have already teased them (like the 3 masks on the splatoon 3 campaign teaser art). The only 2 things that seemed out of place were lil’Judd and Mr.crabs (as I like to call him). Since everything is so advanced I figured lil’ Judd (who is originally from splatoon 2) could be working with Mr.crabs to destroy Judd or something

I mean typically in Japanese gaming and anime, if you don't see a character actually dies, they mostly like didn't. Also everyone boss in the series explodes and covers the screen in ink when they did but for Tartar, the screen just faded to white

you did a substantial amount of digging, and i appreciate that, but i think its obvious by now. tartar used tartar sauce to make zombified octos, and glen fidler is what we humans would call a "transhumanist." so glen fidler is AT LEAST doing something similar to tartar in terms of using technology to make obedient soldiers, alive or undead

I think Glen Fiddler will definitely be involved partially because of the things you lay out here but even moreso because, and I can't believe I didn't notice this earlier, his bigger claw is bleached. If that's not a wink wink, nudge nudge, stab stab kind of hint I don't know what is. Honestly though I kind of doubt Tartar itself will be reappearing as a villain here given how final its death seemed to be in Octo Expansion, but I think its impact will definitely be felt very strongly in the DLC if these trailers are anything to go by. Perhaps Fiddler will in essence carry on Tartar's legacy by utilizing its technology from the NILS statue, which made him go mad with power and turn on Marina perhaps? Maybe the simulation was innocent and well intentioned at first but things eventually went awry, but that's pure speculation on my part. I'm guessing either Fiddler or someone new will be given the role of main antagonist, though I don't think Marina will be the main villain even if we're lead to think so. I also predict that if Acht is a twist villain, she'll double cross whoever she was working for in the end and lose her sanitization in the process. I have no evidence for that occurring, I think it would just be cool.

You are sort of correct i believe, but for the wrong reasons. I think this is a lot of speculation, but it has some resemblance to the theory that I made from the 1st trailer. I think orca is the overarching antagonist with Glen and tartar as secondary antagonists

Also, i would like to bring up that commander tartar doesnt seem to be associated with kamabo co anymore. Cq cumber says that they had nothing to do with what happened and i doubt theyd bring him back. Idk just smth to think about. Maybe tartar made his own company with glen fiddler if he even is involved. Not relating to the rest of kamabo. Idk. Maybe not and im just overthinking it. Maybe tartar still runs kamabo. CQ Cumber probably won't come back since he needs to keep running the Deepsea Metro. Tartar could still be in control of Kamabo as Kamabo's main goal was to sanitize Octarians and create the primordial ooze. It just used the Deepsea Metro to facilitate that. CQ Cumber and the Metro itself likely had little to do with Kamabo anyway
