I love it. Is there any chance to implement 2 barometric sensors, GPS, and a accelerometer on the glasses itself? Thanks

I wish you make a headset similar to the one wade uses in read player one

Just get some ski goggles use the same reflector he's using at a 45 put a cellphone on the top of the goggles reflecting off the reflector and use a clear lenses in the ski goggles and your done. Get all the joys of having a cellphone too like gyros and wifi and stuff.

Very interesting idea, how about connecting them to a Mini PC like an Intel compute stick, making a DIY version of Apple vision pro?

Do you think you will list headsets again on Etsy soon? I want to build one but if it isn't too expensive buying one might make more sense.

I would love to sell them again but at this moment I’m unable to. Right now I’ve got work in Germany and I’ve had to leave all my tools behind. I don’t even know when I’ll be back home

Hey, what do you use for the reflector? how does it not have a "double vision" effect from the thickness?

Hi Manolo BRILLIANT WORK! ...any tips on how to get this to work with normal wireframe glasses? Many of us DNA victims don't have perfect eyesight... I'll have to get back to getting Bluetooth VR going...I was quite close until "Return to Moria" caught me *eyeroll*

What material was the combiner made of? I tried searching it up like you mentioned in the video, but I'm only finding finished products. Do you know if its a thermoplastic? I wonder if it could be vacuum formed into lenses for custom bird bath displays in a helmet/mask to hopefully achieve a wider FOV.

Great video as always. I have a question about the display. How usable is it in reality? Can you actually do some work on it?
@ManolloMancelli4 ай бұрын
This one is pretty big. It’s about two times bigger than FLCoS. If you set the scaling on windows to something like 200% then I think it would be usable. I’ve read a script written in word without issues

I dare not imagine doing the same but with this Si-OLED SY103WAM01 1 inch 2560x2560 it must be crazy in terms of quality.. but I'm not a handyman :(

Bro, you have A tier electrical skills, but your 3d design skills are somewhat lacking XD. Locking the thing in together with soldering iron, those are some neat plastic fumes...XD, thats some D tier 3d design skills. You see, you should use something like an internal click in mechanism, its very small and it allows you to open it up again. They can be robust. I used them all the time.

Its so sad all files are locked behind the pay wall.... I always wanted to build something like this, but no files available by free...... Its too expensive to buy already created product, and i always wanted to try to create one myself... Its so sad i can't.... but, video is nice and result is fascinating. But again - so sad no free files available......

It's $8 for the production files, assuming you subscribe to his patreon, download them, then unsubscribe. That's months of specialized design work for less than the price of a sandwich. If that's too expensive for you then the JLC PCB order and Aliexpress items are out of your price range too. Its OK to not have a big budget for DIY projects, I'm not trying to shame you for having financial difficulties. But complaining that you feel excluded because someone else's hard work hasn't been made 100% free to you is quite frankly immature and maybe even a bit insulting to their craft.
