Jester flashes green normally. But the reason why the Jester flashed red that time was because the Sheriff tried to shoot him, but died instead. So when they inspected the crime scene of the sheriff's death the Jester was "the cause for the Sheriff's death" and that made him flash red for that specific crime scene ^^

Just an FYI, you have figured out detective wrong, the way that role works is, once you inspect a dead body, the person who was involved in that bodys death flashed red, everyone else flashes green. In simons case, it flashed red because lachy as a sheriff tried to kill him and died thus that body was technically dead due to Simon

The actual reason why arsonist went green while jester went red was not bcoz of crew, neut and imp but if they specifically got a kill last round. Simon was red coz he indirectly killed lachy while josh got 0 zero kills the round prior so he went green
