@@FishinwithSquirrel what color is catfish on Lawrence
@FishinwithSquirrel11 ай бұрын
A bigger catfish on the standard color pallet will have yellow/green in the center of the arch. Blue being the lightest return then red. The hardest return on the color pallet is always at the top of the screen. Sidescan and Downscan the returns will be white. Hope this helps sampy.

I enjoy watching your videos; I was wondering if you could share with us how you decide how deep to run your jigs? Thanks
@FishinwithSquirrel11 ай бұрын
I watch my graph and if the fish are in the 4/5’ range I’ll pull that depth or a little more shallow. Pay attention when you make a turn and catch a fish. If it’s an inside rod, slow down and fish deeper. If an outside rod catches speed up and run those lures closer to the surface.

What part of the country and lake are you on? I'm from Texas so I'm not gonna steal your spot! 😂 Nice catches!
@FishinwithSquirrel11 ай бұрын
I’m in what we call the Upstate of SC. Actually most western portion of the state. Clemson University sits beside Lake Hartwell and the lake in this video is Keowee. Lake Keowee is right above Hartwell. Thanks for watching 🐿
@AsleepAtTheReel11 ай бұрын
@@FishinwithSquirrel I know the area. I do a tournament every year at Watts Bar in TN. This past year I decided to fish NC, SC and Gunnersville in Al. I did not fish Hartwell but have wanted to. I have fished it from the bank. Thanks for sharing.

You probably use scent but wonder if it would help longlining might pick up few more them gooduns
@FishinwithSquirrel11 ай бұрын
I haven’t tried scent long-lining but tipping a jig with a small minnow works well. Thanks for watching 🐿
@cglarsen2611 ай бұрын
What jigheads do you prefer to use? Looks like mostly minnowhead perhaps. what about bladed jigs? Are you catching all black crappie or white too? Enjoy you teaching on the sonar images. Thanks.
@FishinwithSquirrel11 ай бұрын
I have been using “big bite” brand minnow jig heads 1/32 & 1/16 oz I usually run an under spin 1/16 oz and had really good luck trolling with it. Don’t really know why I haven’t tied one back on. I’ve only caught black crappie, still looking for a white. Thanks for watching!🐿
