Bought My F900XR for basically the same reasons. I downsized from a Tiger 1200 and I'm not looking back. So much more usable power and flickability. Still get great touring capability but still rips in the twisties. I'm in love with mine, best of all worlds

Honestly this has to be one of your top videos yet, that breakdown was Legit! When it comes to Brands I tend to be a bit biased for BMW's and Triumphs I just feel like the Quality is Quintessential of Bikes and the Engineering & Aesthetics is an Art, the F900XR is a Beautiful bike man I do get Dad vibes from it though someday I'll be there haha, I'm still doing thorough research on what my next bike should be but it seems the more I look the more I get confused which one to get, I'm looking at the F900R actually it's also a very underrated Moto in my opinion, I mean it has everything anyone could ever ask for even an IMU at that price it's more than a solid deal. My top 4 Bikes I am choosing from right now very different in their own way r9t, F900R, Speed Twin, and Trident. Great informative video bro!

I appreciate your feedback! Thank you. It looks like you have a very tough decision to make, but a good problem to have! I get a cool uncle vibe with this one haha. The wind screen is quite a game changer though, especially when I start going longer trips. As for the IMU, yes couldn’t agree more for how this is priced. You’ve got a nice list of bikes to choose from..good luck bro!

Are you still happy with the 900xr? Because I want to buy one, but the long-time owner reviews are mostly negative on KZbin.
@tonycarpenter-Makzimia10 ай бұрын
I just bought mine, not a good ride yet (cruddy British weather currently). That being said my short ride home was illuminating. Bike is after an R1250RT much quicker response on throwing it. I have already replaced the seat and screen and I have a brake pedal extension coming. Other than that, loved the bike straight away. I’m jealous I’m not back on those SoCal roads I’ve ridden before for about 8 years.

That is good info. Thanks. I am attracted to this bike. I have a TLS which I've been riding since my late 20's. Still love it but this bike is not only stylish but refined. I have nothing but love for my TL, but this bike actually probably suits my riding style now.

Good video, especially the rake/trail bit as I have been trying to understand that recently! Also, considering changing from the 1000 to the 900 for the usable power point. Had my S-XR for over 4 years (love it), but you have to keep it high in the rev range, feel the F-XR may suit my style a bit better.

I rode 22,000 on my 2020 F900xr and rented a S1000XR for a weekend. The liter bike has an amazing amount of power, way more than necessary. My 900 has much less power but still plenty unless you're racing. The 900 feels more nimble even though it is the same weight as the 1000. The reason for this is that the smaller bike is less bulky. Both bikes are fun but the only thing 900 is more fun for me is because I can use all the power. The 1000 has more power than I can use. There is a $10,000 difference in price and a 18 MPG difference.

I’m looking to to buy an f900xr I went to look at some and I found something confusing there are some with a golden suspension system and a “ZF” logo and other f900xr’s don’t have that suspension system ( just like yours ) they lack the golden color they’re black and there’s no ‘’ZF’’ part . My question is which xr is better and which system is better what’s the difference ? And should I get an xr with the golden suspension system or the normal one ?Which one is the electronic dynamic suspension? Thanks in advance loving the content !

Anyway: I saw EVERY SINGLE VIDEO ONLINE, about this bike.... And you are One of the very few that understood its real nature ❤ Actually, that s an incredibile sport bike, I can just Imagine how could It be with 110/115 CV at the wheel😱, instead of 96/97.... Anyway, with decat and a good map, somebody arrived in the neighbourhood of 107/108 bph at the wheel. But even in OEM condition, it can carve Curves at AN incredibile rate, if you can and know how to do It! I come from 5 yrs 1/2 and over 60k km of street triple RS, 2018 and 2020. On paper It s quicker...on paper 😅 Actually It s way more hard to ride quickly, despite weighing over 50 kg less🙄.... And in rare sistuations in which you find the right conditions, actually in the vast majority of situations you are quicker and are entertaining way more! Now I m evolving mine in sport direction.... let s see what happen😏

Great choice. I however choose bikes plainly for how they make me feel. It's a emotional buy for me🥰🤤. I also own R9T Pure almost identical to yours. I wish I could be as analytical like you did with your purchase. And I am very envious. Are you gonna tail tidy that diving board? 🤔
@sidestand3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It’s bit of both for me between the “feels” & mechanics, but would say most of the time it’s emotional as well 😁. I deal with analytics day to day with my main hustle so it comes out, sometimes not by choice lol. I’m waiting for my top case to arrive & I’ll figure out if I’m going to do a tail tidy. I wouldn’t want my brake light too recessed where it’s not visible due to the top case, safety first in this case. Thanks for watching!

@@sidestand I was considering taking the tail tidy off my scrambler for this reason. I ride with a tailbag on 90% of the time.
