Correct, I am recording at 60FPS so my game FPS will be intervals of 60, and because I'm recording my computer can't reach 120. When I am not recording I cap it at the standard 300. I really have to disable netgraph... because folks keep pointing this out EVERY single video...

The quick shift walking tip he mention in this video no longer work.
@enthymeme485610 жыл бұрын
WHAT! Why? Did they make it so it is way less accurate?
@HoorayforOranges10 жыл бұрын
That's not true at all. You can run and shoot by a stutter step and be practically 100% accurate. This is simply sidestep shooting as explained in the video.
@gjune3610 жыл бұрын
MMACheerpuppy I think you misunderstand. I never said you can't use strafing to be accurate. I said you can't use the quick shift walk tip in the video. This is because of 2 two things. 1) When this video was made, the instant you hit shift you were in walking speed. Players would run at full speed, and right before they shoot they tap shift for much higher accuracy. You can still go from running to walking for more accuracy, but it won't be instant. 2) Also when this video was made, accuracy was not yet bound to movement speed. So the instant you hit walk, you get the accuracy for someone moving at the speed of walking, even though you have not decelerate fully from running to walking. You can of course still stutter step. Just that tapping shift won't help you at all. The timing now is much tighter and require even more skill.
@gjune369 жыл бұрын
Antagonist Wizard July 10, 2013 Update - "- Adjusted the function that mapped movement speed to weapon inaccuracy. The linear portion of this function is now exponential." Accuracy is now base on movement speed. February 5, 2014 Update - "-Movement inaccuracy when walking is now calculated differently, resulting in better walking accuracy across the board." This was the patch where they fixed it completely, and further more refine movement speed and weapon accuracy.

I read all the comments sir... I didn't reply because I don't qualify as a professional opinion on this. Sidestep shooting and shift stepping are two different techniques that can be used in different situations, or even together to throw off opponents. I don't think you have to choose between them, (By shift stepping I assuming you mean what I call Shift Tapping, where you hit shift to shoot accurately)

I feel like the look of the guns when shooting, like the way they pushed back, looked much much better 2 years ago when the game came out. It's sad they changed it, and pretty much the visuals in general, I think the game looked nice the way it was when it first came out.

Yeah, "pros" had to go and complain about fog though.. now they're trying to get rid of post processing altogether. :/ I can't agree more about how the viewmodel used to spring upward and back instead of forward and back.. I guess it doesn't matter though considering a bunch of people had that disabled.
@CataclystX10 жыл бұрын
That's changeable via console commands, that's just an effect to "show" the recoil more realistically and using effects, because it does look more immerse. *It should be changeable via settings using sliders.* But aspiring pros / pros are too immersed in the game itself and too focused to care, or to want the effect.

I think what he is also saying is using shift right after to strafe. Because as you strafe, it takes a longer time to completely stop (to have best accuracy) then to strafe>shift/walking>stop or in other words a>d>a>d>shift>shoot. I am having trouble trying to get better at doing that. Since shift I have to use shift as my pinky, it gets tired really fast.

Honestly, If i had a pc with 100+fps and like 10 ping, i would get to DMG in just 2 days. Reason i am bad/low rank is because my FPS is so low at times, and my ping gets high too. Sometimes my USB ports will stop completely in the middle of a game. Argghh >::

This is something the CS community has always needed; actual tutorials for how to play the game. CS has always been a hard game to play, with a steep learning curve that drives new players away. SC2 and other competitively successful games have had people like Day[9] to explain the game, but CS has never really had a major source. Netcodeilluminati would be good, but they I don't think many people want to pay for premium.

strafing is when your moving back and forth with A and D but the critical point is where you stop to go to the opposite direction your walking only at this point do you get a accurate shot (which is when you stop for a fraction of a second)

You basically dont stopping. Key is time your shot to moment when you change direction form left to right or right to left and you stop for tiny moment, as you slow down to zero before you start moving to other side. If two players meet and both doing that, one who can predict oponent direction wins, so sometimes you want change direction again same side as before to throw off oponent and get that little time to aim your next shot more accurately while oponent have to reaim. I wouldnt suggest use walk for this. First its less accurate. Second you may slow down but you still keep moving original direction, that slows you down when you switch sides and makes you more vulnerable. It can be used in same direction throw off(pretending you going change sides then move further away) but its risky as oponent can still hit you. Good player will expect that and most likely do his own throw off to turn table, so then its very situational. It has to be praticed. Try be unpredictable, dont do just left-right because its easy to counter.

Weapons are more accurate when shift stepping. Supposedly allowing you to move (and be more evasive) and still maintain a good degree of accuracy. Watch 2:15 I don't see pro players use this often. Probably because they have already mastered sidestep shooting which is arguably more effective.
@darthrevan33428 жыл бұрын
In a pure duel I found that sidesteping with SG-553 is really good, since you will shoot firt your accuracy resert way faster with scope on, the obvious down side is that against multiple oponent since you are slower it isn't going to matter, but in a 1 o 1. And I have tried this in duel arena servors... I just did wreck skilled AK-47 playersjust by having my scope ready a little bit before teh engagement. I noticed that they kinda miss their headhsot by trying to shot before mebefore I always ended up shooting first with SG-553.

So... I'm not a expert, but after hearing the part about countering sidestep shooting, it got me thinking about crouching's (actual) competitive use compared to walking, other than slightly more accuracy, I'm not exactly a global elite though, Wouldn't it be more practical in the csgo "meta/high level play" to actually strafe/sidestep & then crouch over sudden patterned stops? Before i get people saying "OMG U S!1v3r $krub10rD", think about it o.o in csgo higher ranks, you don't see people using the crouch key at all for the most part, which of course means Aim for the usual head level. For example, 2 Deagle Users in pistol round on level ground both sideshooting, not factoring in recoil control, just shoot-wait for recoil to cooldown- and shoot again. if you strafe for evasiveness, & then crouch for less than a second or so to burst, fire, & repeat, Wouldn't it be harder to predict & hit you because the head level wouldn't be always at the same level to aim at, even without factoring the crouching user's accuracy advantage. From what I know, wouldn't that make them actually miss shots completely every time you crouched & fired since they would be aiming for where you head would usually be, and shoot above you, instead of the lower position of the head when crouching? Obviously you wouldn't crouch walk at all, but instead of what TheWarOwl said about stopping, you would just hit crouch & fire briefly, move, and repeat. idk, ideas welcome :)
@OneLunchMan489710 жыл бұрын
Dayum, that was longer than I thought.
@naim16919 жыл бұрын
Jk4887 At higher ranks this might work but in the silver ranks, when I tried this, most people are going for bodyshots so you end up crouching into a headshot.
@sarahbell1809 жыл бұрын
Naim Abrahams So kinda like the whole decoy technique, where you throw a decoy at an area, stand on the decoy, so you fool high ranks into thinking its a decoy but silvers just rush?
@OneLunchMan48979 жыл бұрын
Naim Abrahams Kyle Bell That's what I meant, doing the unexpected, but since side step shooting is such a basic high rank style, I figured it'd actually make a notable change, compared to the decoy juke, I mean, if u consider the amount of people in upper ranks that use side step shooting going for 1 deag's/1 taps, it throws them off completely, since it's just not the norm and catches them off guard. Still, TheWarOwl Could you give us some insight? ^^
@poppinlochnesshopster32499 жыл бұрын
Kyle Bell Yeah, can't tell you how many times I die in various PvP games because I use a superior strategy that would allow me to win a 1v1 fight against someone who actually is good at the game, but I end up dying because the psychology of the strategy is irrelevant because the opponent doesn't use the optimal strategy for the situation :( (IE if you fake someone out but they shoot you anyway because they "missed" where the fake would be)
