Andrew Luebker it was based on the C1 Shuto racers of the 80s/90s there also 6 films based on it I have them you can find some on here too

That was done intentionally, the real Japanese name was "Shutokou Battle" and Shutokou is a slightly different way of saying "Shuto Kōsoku Dōro" which translates to "Metropolitan Expressway". Basically, in the original title of the game, the entire point of the game was to race on a recreated version of the Tokyo expressway system as inspired by the car culture surrounding it in the 90's.

Well, there is a group of modders who remodeled it and you can drive majority of the Shuto expressway now in Assetto Corsa. Incredibly detailed. I recognized every corner on the video. Even the starting place, that is Tatsumi parking area.

rotary doesnt use pistons, it uses a triangle that spins, its hard to explain without showing you, but since the only moving part is the rotor (the triangle) they can spin to amazingly high rpm's resulting in gobs of highend power, the only downside is they run a bit hot and get horrible gas mileage.

what you just witnessed was lift oversteer. deceleration through a corner shifted enough weight forward to cause the rear tires to reach their limit of traction, thus kicking out the rear

its the ideal way o shift in a rotary idiots in a rotary the drive shaft is actualy spinning way faster then the engine if he where to shift nomally the clutch acually drops the revs 2-3k and in a turbo its to keep that spool in the key area to where no lag occurs at all

So quit criticizing the driver with the shifting. If the car makes sounds when shifting gears it aint your problem. Its his car his money and he's enjoying driving it. Just appreciate.

Nah mate he's definitely shifting like a spastic: Hear him change down one too many gears, realize he's just about on the redline and shift up against straight away. Hear him search for a gear. Hear him change down and engine brake MID CORNER. He doesn't have a clue.

I think this video was taken in 2000. At this point, the tuning culture for each car had been going on for 30 years with rotary and L-type engines, and for over 10 years with RB, 2JZ and SR engines. As cars and technology have advanced, it may have become much more subdued.

that sounds like either a Subaru motor (horizontal) or a honda (longitudinal) rotary blocks are oval and tiny, they go from 1.3 to 2.6 liters. theyre awesome engines once you master them, they love high rpms. they just take alot of time to get them perfect@LoveThatBass921
