Very cool video, I must get Trainz 12 soon. I'm really excited about the Jointed Rail content, and the long awaited doppler effect. Could you make a video of various locomotives demonstrating the doppler effect when you have a chance?

@Petr2266 The doppler effect is on this, plus there actually is a distance factor in the sounds now. The problem is the speed at which the objects are traveling are either going far too slow to notice a change in pitch, or are being covered up by other engine sounds.

You need to learn how to drive a train properly then. The coupler settings are a bit sensitive, but if you monitor it closely you should be fine. Good tip is to try and avoid sudden braking or throttling.

The doppler effect needs major improvements. I am not knocking the efforts to incorporate, but I feel this is an exaggerated benefit of TS12 in its current state. When the engine RPMS are increasing near the end of the video and going behind the hillside, the engine sounds should in no way be as loud as they are. I really do not want to be ostricised for this, but people are critical on my content therefore I feel I am able to as well. My view of the doppler effect is needs major work.

@Joshuajlawn Everything that works natively in 2010 will work in 2012. 2012 lacks compatibility mode, which actually is more of a good than a bad thing. However anything pre-2009 will not work. I cannot speak for RRMods or SPORBUST, but I can assure you that anything that is compatible with 2010 with JR will work in 2012.
