That fella in the kid's construction worker gear was to funny. They grow so fast, soon enough, you'll have some teen aged Welkers, imagine one or two at least, will want to follow in the family farming footsteps. G-d bless you brother's, and getting bigger house's for the growing family will be good, more room will make the kid's happy for sure.

Piece of advice if you haven't already. At each opening with an interior door. Measure where the door handle would hit the wall when opened . Then install a wood plate. That way when a kid flings open the door at Christmas time the handle dents the sheet rock instead of knocking a hole in it.

Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Congratulations on your house progress. Coming along great. Lots of ends and outs to building a house. More than one thinks. Your son looked great in the building outfit. Cute. Keep up the good work. Coming along great. Thanks for showing us around. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy.

I noticed that the Welkers don't answer a lot of questions on here. Presumably because they are so busy. What a life...up at 4:30, only to get to bed by 11:00...All so the rest of us can eat! Thank you to ALL our farmers! God Bless!

Glad to see things coming together on the house. I'm a little worried about the scrap wood you were picking up and putting in the totes, around here that's good for a drinking fire or some may say drunk fire. Of course we are talking about the fire itself because people would not get drunk sitting around a fire. 🤣🤣

Really enjoy watching this progress I’m so excited for you. Bought our second home, sold our starter home, a few years ago and kind of thought this was where we’ll be for the rest of our lives but seeing this makes me kind of want to hope for more. Although we haven’t done the renovations we wanted to this house yet so maybe I should just shoot for that first.

Hi Scott! Don't know if it is code by you, but ours changed regarding your septic system. Please consider installing a filter prior to your drain field. It will sit in your tank and keeps solid material from contaminating your drain field. A few dollars spent here could save you thousands and lots of headaches later. You should flush/clean it out once per year. Keep up the good work on the house and allow me to wish you and the entire Welker family a very Merry Christmas!!!!

It’s coming along nicely. You know, the small bench you created for the steam generator would be a very nice place for a small cubby cavity (AKA hidden storage) that is accessible from the other room or from the mechanical closet. When they install the spray foam on the ceiling, do you need to add a vapor barrier on the inside, or does the spray foam serve that purpose?

Also add blocking in bathrooms for future grab bars and towel bars , someday you might want to or need to install these heaven forbid . Your builder should be able to help you with placement of blocking around toilet area . It will save you ripping wall’s apart if you ever need these items . Make sure the blocking is at least an 1 1/2 material for grab bars . If you’ve ever had to use them you will understand why , they need to support 250 lbs .

PLEASE be careful when installing Spray foam in your home . Off gassing and proper curing of foam is a Big problem. Checkout your insulation company . You do not want to be smelling the foam after home is complete. You will need a fresh air system also. Do a Blower door test to see how tight home is to confirm enough fresh air movement. Off gassing happens with many things you use in your home.

Hey lads. Serious question. Talking money. Don't answer if you don't want too. How does it work between you 3. Did you split everything 3 ways? Do you all get a wage from the farm? Or is everything in one account and you just need to be talking to each other about money spent? I find it real interesting to understand how that works.
