TBH, when I first saw Yona I got war flashbacks to Muzu and thought we were dealing with a Regina George-situationship here. Luckily she's a really nice character, which makes it really hard to hate her because she's with Sidon. If you want my honest opinion, I think she didn't need to be in the game (Sidon could have earned his place as king all by himself, he didn't need her there), but the fact that she is a likeable character and a compliment to Sidon's headstrong nature is better than her being a very basic and 1-D character there exclusively for the purpose of breaking up Sidlink.

In the beginning i felt betrayed a bit. She felt a bit off in the start. But her personality and being - well theres not much to hate about. In the end i actually think they fit very well together and i really like Yona a lot now! Plus the fact: Sidon is a king and has a job to do - so the love between him and link- even if it doesnt exist in that way - would be doomed anyways (Same for Zelda, but her Royalty duties are kinda not that intact rn when it comes to legacy and marriage) I think that Sidon and Link are very close friends, and there is love between them - as friends. It depends on the Link and Zelda, they rarely get together funnily enough. They’re usually A: childhood friends or B: met like two days ago and barely know each other. Skyward Sword Link and TOTK Link are two of the only confirmed cases. In twilight princess, romantic interest is implied with Midna, and confirmed in the Manga. And in Ocarina of Time? Yeah, he’s got many other choices. But yeah, gay ships are cool, and this ship would work, if not for the fact that Link is basically Sidon’s older brother, and would’ve been brother in law. Im sorry, but I dont believe link is "undecided" on his sexuality. I think its something that does not need to be accounted for. Japanese are quite funny when it comes to portraying women being flirty with men.
