AOA Aapi I just wanted to inform you that mostly "Marshmallows" are HARAM as It contains gelatin which is made up of collagen which in non-Muslim countries is mostly made of Pigs. So i just wanted to inform you that the hot choco has marshmallows and the choco pie korean snack also contains Marshmallow which contains Gelatin and some cheese cakes also have gelatin which is also haram .... Halal is an Arabic word which means "permissible". We Muslims don't eat Pork or anything that includes pork oil, bones or meat. If any food contains pork and beef/chicken (which are not slaughtered in Halal way) etc., we say the food is not Halal (not permitted to eat). Usually, the food wrappers show that the pork oil is used or cow meat is used inside. When I read the label, I know I can't eat the snack/cake/jelly etc.
