They want ops to have 1 or 2 jobs their really good at, rather than a swiss army knife. All of those changes make sense because buck isn't a site pusher, why does he need a gonne-6? Or frags? Or hard beach? He can use flashes still to help clear a room or utility, then set claymores and go to work on a floor or ceiling, like hes supposed to.

@ flashes arent as useful after the nerf, and if ubi continues to nerf ops, it gets to the point where all the operators will be stale and less enjoyable. He wasnt a “swiss army knife” or one man army, because it’s still a team game, and although he was able to make a few points of pressure, it still doesn’t make sense to nerf him. Plus, with all other decisions Ubi$oft has made, gaslighting yourself into believing they make sense is quite stupid

this is literally how we've ended up with most metas of the past 2 years lol. Warden meta because every other op with a 1.5 on defense has had it stripped away, Wamai meta because he kept the ACOG, LMG meta because they had nerfed every other good gun's recoil + vertical grip, now BOSG meta because they made its damage consistent. The meme weapon, became meta. Also if you see the win delta most operators are in the awkward "pickable but nothing much" area.

@ best example is probably how mpx is actually a good weapon now even without 1.5 because it has no recoil. I remember that when it came out (and it was always exactly the same with piss poor damage average rate of fire and low recoil) it was one of the worst weapons on defence because other guns were still comfortable to use but now its arguably one of the better ones out there

As a siege lover and competitive player, these balances are the bane of making the game actually fun to play. Siege is only going to get more competitive and looking at these changes from this standpoint, they make more sense. Actually as a Buck main the claymores are a nice addition for when bucking floors because you usually get hunted down by the defenders. I hate to admit it, but Ubisoft is kind of right about the fact that he was way too versatile. With the nade nerf though I feel like he should get them back eventually.

The Lesion time change doesn't make sense for playing QP. We start with 1 gu and have a 30 second setup plus 3 min round. So 30 sec setup will give a second gu, and then it will take all 3 mins just to get to the possibility of the 8th gu generating, yet the round is over at that point.

Fear of stepping on a gu mine?? i’m pretty sure kapkan deserved that trap nerf a bit more considering gu mines rarely kill. Or fenrir could’ve used the nerf. Also lesion having 5 mines “one minute into action phase” is kinda dumb, a full minute in the whole enemy team is most likely already in the building, those are pocket mines at that point for covering a flank or yeeting a few at a dropped defuser.
