The Death Korps are the worst opponent for Khorne, Nergle and Necron forces. Those forces rely mainly on terror tactics, which don't work on the Death Korps.

Terror isn't the main tool of Necrons or Nurgle, it's attrition. Valiant soldiers willing to spend their lives they may be the Death Korp can't out attrition undying enemies.

There needs to be some sort of commissioned artwork for of Vraks gate 579-459 done. The scene of god engines firing into chaotic infantry as they sprint down the hill to engage in bloody melee, as the Kreig fire volley after volley to stem their tide, only for Khornate berserkers to rip and tear till their very weapons break down. That, would be a harrowing warscape to look upon.

I presume that the idea of opening the gates to go meet the enemy head on was the idea of the Beserkers. Vrak Vet: "We have a massive advantage as long as we stay behind the wall." Beserker: "**** that, open the **** gate!"

Honestly, at this point in the siege, there is no competent Vrakksian army anymore, they've all been turned into mouthfrothing bloodcrazed idiots by their Chaos overlords... For all their individuals prowesses in battle, THAT is the greatest shortcoming of Chaos Marines : their rituals turn any competent and organised force into "let me solo them" cultists...

It feels wierd knowing that the "tragic" death of Marshall kagori is actually the best he could have hoped for, given the grey knights would have slaughtered him the second the siege concluded had he survived that long.

@@SuperDman43 it's a little complicated, but bassically 95% of the imperium is deliberately kept in total darkness about chaos and demons and all that, and 99% are kept in the dark about the imperium having a specific space marine chapter solely dedicated to fighting chaos and demons. And in order to keep it that way, whenever chaos appears on a battlefield and/or the grey knights are deployed, every surviving member of the imperial guard are executed, both to keep the secret and to prevent chaos corruption gestating within them and rearing it's ugly head weeks, months, years, or even generations (in children or grandchildren) later. Incidently, Space marines are allowed know about chaos, but not grey knights, and thus they get mind wiped before they leave the area.

I have been saying this for a while now there's always a group that balances out another Khorne Beserkers (World Eaters) has the butchers nails in there heads and the more they kill the less it hurts there heads so when you have unstoppable super human killing machines on the battlefield you think its hopeless but its not if you pair them up with our Gasmask boyz who are mostly test tube babies and are bred for war that's it (Clone Troopers) and they enjoy being the spearhead of every battle there commissars are trained to not have these guys endlessly killing themselves in battle but they don't care they will fire there lasrifles non stop when that doesn't work they will switch to bayonets if that breaks, trusty shovels, if that even breaks then they will do fists. Hell they will strap krak grenades to there bodies and give those berserkers a huge fireball hug, these guys are ruthless they make even Khorne blush at times, this is why I will always love the Death Korps cause they are the Imperium's world eaters in a sense.
