After taking a break from siege and recently coming back, I’ve found I’m so much more calm and usually goes really well with teammates just by starting the game early with comms and a couple compliments or nice words. Really sets up the rest of the game so much better

it really does go a long way. It also exposes the assholes and trolls super fast though. But 90% of the time people in ranked want to win more than be dicks so it is usually a good idea.

same. started playing the game when buck and frost came out, up until jackal and mira were released. still watched siege youtubers like teo and pit, but was never really in the community. came back periodically but never got deep into it. then more of my friends started playing last season when brava was released and i got back into it. i'm not a crazy player (gold level player playing with emeralds and diamonds on console), but i know i've never been elite at shooters. and i think that mindset is key to doing well, but more importantly having a good time. i take ranked "seriously" (comms, gameplans, being a team player), but not by raging, being toxic or getting mat at/trolling bad teammates. i just try to have fun and win by playing the game how it should be played. yea. i'll try to frag out and "sweat" when needed, but it's not unhealthy. it's sad, unless you're playing a single player game nowadays, that value is perceived as being the highest rank and having a positive kd/ being good :/.

usually ill say like nice try or nice kill, and sometimes ill get a thx from nice people, othertimes someone 10 years younger than me will repeat what i said in a high pitched mocking tone, sometimes i get told to "shut up n-word" by a white boy thinkig hes cool, easy to find out the trolls / dicks and mute em at the start of a match

Had a guy TK start of quick play match and just absolutely throw on defense destroying my maestro cams by hitting and impacting them along with my echo drones for no reason. His excuse was he was “edging” completely ruined the mood and I downed him wanted to bleed out but the pulse revived him even tho he know what he was doing.

Yeah had some asshole do similar in casual because I chose echo. So instead of just saying hey can I get echo I like playing him, he shoots my drones. So I made sure we lost the match since I was carrying anyways.
