Do you know how to fix the remote desktop connection because I keep getting error everytime I put in the public ip

If I remember this may be a problem with the firewall settings. Double check that you have all ports open in Microsoft Defender (or whatever it is called now) and also make sure the Windows firewall on the VM is also completely turned off.
