Set a clear expectation with the team that metrics are meant for improvement, not for performance evaluation. Emphasize the collaborative nature of Scrum, encouraging transparency and openness about challenges. Use metrics as a starting point for discussions in retrospectives, focusing on how to enhance processes rather than attributing blame. Regularly communicate the purpose behind each metric to reinforce the improvement-oriented mindset.

In the world of agility, matrices should be always used only for our continuous improvement purposes and see where are the gaps and opportunities to improve but we should NEVER weaponise anyone with metrics nor we should compare with others. Because theres a ultimate blanket statement in scrum that we cannot compare Apples with Oranges 😊. So conclusion delivery team should do self evaluation and retrospect and based on cycle time, Throughput or velocity etc matrices they can improve their performance.
