Siemens set the absolute type home position
1. Search the parameter 34210
2. Select the correct axis (X, Y, Z or A, B), the operator must checks the axis carefully to prevent the wrong setting happens.
3. The 34210 input “0”
4. Turn off the power and turn on again
5. Moving the axis to the (home) position by manual mode.
6. After arrived the correct position, then sent the 34210 = 1
7. Then select “JOG”, “REF POINT” and “Axis” (select the correct axis), and then press “+” button

8. After press the “+” button, then the 34210 will be changed become “2” automatically.
9. Turn off/on the power again that is finished.

I just reset my A0 after crashing on a Siemens 828D. Steps 1-6 worked for me, but I had to manually enter my offset in the 34090 parameter, twice. Thanks.

Hi! How Can i adjust axis position in absolute encoder system? For example now i have axis indicated 533, and i need that it point should be 610? Is operations the same of not?

it is the same way you can set the reference point The reference point is the so-call zero point, and every point (position) is from this zero point calculate the distance from here, so if the axis indicate the 533.000 and you want to change this 533.000 become 610.000 that you must consider shift the reference point backward 77.000 You can shift the reference point 77.000 to the minus direction that you can let the same point become 610.000 When you shift the reference point that you must consider the total travel distance is how much, and must shorten the minus direction 77.000, otherwise that will encounter the big trouble of axis overshoot.

You must measure how much is your "Center point" or zero exactly to this Axis!
