Yes, interested in the 4x2. A lot of us just don't have the space for 4x4.

Be nice if the shipping page listed spindle orders ... Would also be nice if the receipt/invoice had a URL to the order status page.

You mentioned ATC, any hint on time line for that? And any idea whether it will be an adapter or a whole new spindle?

Yes, yes, a 4 x 2 Altmill, take my money. A4 x 4 would be great if I had more space in my shop, unfortunately I don’t.

Outstanding update, as always, Andy. I'd be interested in knowing the price point of the computer you're moving forward with beta testing, as I may go that route with my AltMill (which I believe will be delivered in the next 3 weeks or so; yahoo!!)

Will the g control panel computer be able to run V carve pro?
@SienciLabs4 ай бұрын
We don't think it is the ideal use for it but gControl Panel Computer does meet the system requirements for VCarve Pro.
@JoeLazzara4 ай бұрын
@SienciLabs So basically, it wouldn't be ideal to use it for DESIGNING purposes, just running gsender and the machine? Is that right?

I built a 50 x 70 cms. machine because I could not find a reasonable size for my home hobbies, or too big or too short.... not everything is fully industrial.
@gihadmurad4 ай бұрын
Did you consider making a Sienci Linux distribution (starting from debian) ? It could have gSender and other apps for CNC also pre configuration. You could customize a lightweight window manager like XFCE and it would be very fast. What was slow with Linux? The OS in general or gSender?
@mlibby054 ай бұрын
@@gihadmurad The other issue is making the system user friendly to non techies. Linux as much as Lemmy wants people to believe is not as user friendly/known as Windows

Please 2x4! No space for 4x4.

Sounds like the bent rails they discovered could be good candidates to cut down for a smaller machine. . .
@GregCormier4 ай бұрын
If it works out, until they release an official 2x4 I'd gladly pay the 4x4 price for a 2x4 machine. Or have them cut down a 4x4, I think they offered this service with LongMill.
