Tommy looked shocked in Better Get Used To It because he witnessed such a brutal execution. Yeah he's killed people before but those were always quick and easy deaths. Here he's actually seeing someone beg for their life, someone young as well, hence Tommy is conflicted and hesitating. When Paulie finishes it instead, Tommy just seems to be trying to grasp it all and perhaps the execution itself just seemed so ruthless to him. He's not used to seeing deaths like that, the brutality. Probably why the chapter is called "Better Get Used To it"

In the original it's much better shown in my opinion, as Tommy was kind of of naive and frightened from the mafias, meanwhile in DE for some reason he's straight ''yeah I want to kill them fuckers that destroyed my taxi Mr. Salieri'', which kinda breaks the whole story in my opinion (ending, wink wink). Up to that point, Tommy always acted more or less in self defense (except the chase at Clark's Motel maybe, but even then he says it was a mistake to not run away). In the original, he even wonders how his mother or Sarah would look at him if they saw him there like that, a small detail I really miss in DE.

@@pavelcerny9803 Entirely disagree. I'm not going to argue with you, but Tommy never said he wanted to kill anyone. He said he wanted a shot at the people who wrecked his cab, he wanted revenge, but not bloodshed. You see multiple times throughout DE Tommy being completely the opposite of what you're saying. *Putting this spoiler warning here* in the scene where they're in the restaurant, and Paulie goes to shoot the waitress, Tommy stops him. He runs to try and save the girl from a bomb planted in her car, he stares in shock after Salieri beats up Carlo. Tommy in DE is more genuine. Nothing broke the story. Good day.

@@Bloody_Cake. Yeah, you have some good points. I exaggerated with the ''killing'', but even then, in the original, it was Salieri that tried out what Tommy is made from by telling *him* to go to destroy the vehicles, not the other way around as in DE. Btw I am not trying to argue either, I just politely discuss. It's fine if you have different opinion, and I'd like to hear it, even if I maybe disagree.

Sienna I am playing this game right now and I am watching it because you came up when I was looking for gameplay and was pleasantly surprised to see you play this game so thank you for helping me. Love you talking about driving on the wrong side because I’m in American so obviously I drive on that side but from being in Europe, I know obviously you guys drive on the other side is tough but I can tell you this you are really awesome at this. Don Salieri is named after Antonio Salieri, an Italian composer who worked for the Austrian Habsburg emperors and was a colleague of Mozart. In Peter Shaffer's play _Amadeus_ (and the movie version), Salieri's rivalry with Mozart is exaggerated, with Salieri cursing the latter and declaring himself an enemy of God. In the OG Mafia, Don Salieri was voiced by George DiCenzo, who also had roles in Back to the Future and GTA Vice City.

It's so fun to see you so invested and sunken into the games. Gets my good ol' hype up which I hardly get from games anymore. Older one gets, harder it is to enjoy little things somehow. Anyhoo, loving this playthrough as the OG Mafia is one of my favourite games ever, as is this remake. Also, you seemed so much happier this time than on the last video, go you!

Been loving mafia so far! The reticle was a issue for me too! Found the shooting a little tricky. And another peeve is when you crash the car, it takes your health away. However still an amazing game! I dont think you missed any dialogue because you left the hearse. Cannot wait for the next part.

People loves to overreact about the original game because of nostalgia. It was literally my very fist game and i finished it like 20 times and i love it but this game is great and in a lot of ways better that the OG game. Only bad thing about this game is it is too linear. They made amazing city but you have no reason to explore it. You just go to the mission and that is all. OG game had sidemissions with reward cars but that is basically it. And some missions could be solved in more ways.

After you finish this one, you gotta play the last 2 Mafia games to complete the entire story. Mafia 3 lacks in gameplay compared to the first two, but the storytelling completely makes up for it imo. Also, I suggest you listen to the radio because periodically throughout all the games, you get to listen to historical events that actually happened and I just think it's a cool little attention to detail for Mafia lol

While I haven't played this iteration of Mafia, most video games including the Mafia series have big or small reticles depending on the gun used. In the case of Mafia II (Classic), the reticle for the 1928 Tommy Gun is MUCH larger than the one for the K98 rifle. I recommend hopefully someone in the comments section can help let Sienna know which gun will have a better reticle (if any)!

I played the original way back when and it was terrific. The only issue I had was that in the OG version that car race that Tommy has to win was really difficult. haha. Actually, for the most part, the missions were a bit more difficult in the original. I played this remake too and it's well done

There is a big difference if you kill someone in combat or if you execute a defenseless person in cold blood who begs for his life. In the godfather sonny told his little brother Michael who was about to get involved in the mob you think this is like in the war? You don't kill them from an mile away but when you see the white in their eyes. You stand right next to them blow their brains out and ruin your suit in the process. Do you like that, kid? And indeed Michael struggled to execute Solozzo and McClusky even though he was a highly decorated war veteran who probably already killed hundreds of other people in combat.
