It was indeed. The Eastern Sierra is incredibly beautiful. You know very well most of this itinerary, on my part I truly enjoyed it from start to finish. Amazing backpacking.

Awesome route and photography. Thanks for sharing your All Trails route. I day hiked from PineCreek TH to 1/2 way up Italy Pass a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed by the scenery. What was your plan for keeping the marmots from eating your gear/food?

Thanks for watching. I agree, scenery was amazing throughout the entire route. For the marmots (and other critters) I just try to keep my camp clean and keep all food and scent items in the bear canister, never in the tent. Also I keep an eye on my backpack when I take a break during the day and never leave it unattended. I did not have any problem with marmots on this or other trips. They tend to be more prone to approaching people packs and sometimes tents in areas where there is more foot traffic as they know people carry food. In less visited areas they usually run away as soon as they see people. This was the case for most of this trip.

@@TrailsOfWander Thanks for replying. I saw your cannistser in one of the scenes. I've had bad experiences with marmots in Colorado, not so much in CA. Keep posting your amazing work!
