I hate that it took me until today to find Sierra's music. A natural and beautiful talent. Always nice to have a reminder of how amazing a singer-songwriter Dolly Parton is as well.
@erlethepearl5 ай бұрын
Yes, her talent is excellent, but don't think that it's just natural, she' has worked and studied hard for many years to get to this point.

First time I've ever seen or heard a mandocello, Sierra, so you've set the standard for that instrument as far as I'm concerned. Hope Dolly learns of this wonderful cover!

I love Sierra but the master of the mandocello is Mike Marshall. Check out his Bach Cello Suites as well as this duets with Chris Thile.

The tonal dimension of the mando with reverb or delay is quite haunting. As usual your beautiful voice 🤗

This isn’t just Dolly Parton’n best song, it one of the most beautiful songs of all time next to wildwood flower. You did it beautifully, I actually cried a little, that doesn’t happen so much anymore🥲 Thank you❤❤❤

Great cover and sound, Hearing this same song played on the banjo by Rhiannon Giddens brings out the sounds of the Low Counties of South Carolina. . I would love to hear both these women play together.

I think we have to call you The Incomparable Sierra Hull. I love your ability to make the other members of the mando family work for you. I have a tenor mandola and an octave, and I notice particularly with the octave that it doesn't work to treat it like a mandolin. It's a different beast; the things I can easily do on the mandolin, some of them I cannot on the octave. I'm enormous, you're tiny, and here are you make the cello sing like it ain't even a thing. Chapeau
