As an older guy who off and on has struggled to try and learn to play the guitar, I am struck by the "community" of bluegrass that Sierra talks about. I've heard Billy Strings also talk about learning in that community. What a joy and thrill it must be to be accepted and sit and play with so many ready teachers. I have some regret missing out on those opportunities, but am so very thankful of the remarkable musicians who emerge from them, like Sierra Hull!

I'm an older guy that has 12 guitars. I figured out long ago that I was never going to actually play guitar, it's just not something I have an aptitude for. If I try really hard, I can learn a little but, it's so hard it's not fun. I have seen a lot of people that "get" guitar easy and fast, it's pretty amazing. I'm good with sitting around with a guitar, picking out a few notes of a song, finding new to me sounds and mostly, working on guitars. We all are not musicians.
