I like this topic and I think it’s an important topic that people don’t want to discuss about it. Because I had a very bad experience when they did that to me and I almost died in there. So I said to myself that none of my kids will ever go through that. Thank you for the discussion 🙏 . I hope people learn from it

I am an elderly white man in Texas USA. I love the diverse African cultures. I married a black American queen in 1971 and sadly she passed after we were together 25 yrs. Anyway, everyday I watch various channels about culture and politics etc in Africa, and am continually amazed at the diversity. Just in one country there can be dozens of tribal customs and languages. Wow. Commenting on this post, I really am surprised to see you openly discussing this on social media in your country, but certainly it should be discussed. I sort of identify with your "outcast" theme. I was not circumcised as a boy, and growing up I was always "different" from my friends, so became very self-conscious. I do not believe in male circumcision at all, and feel it is akin to FGM. Males who are circumcised lose so much of their organ's sensitivity. How all this began long ago is unknown, but I believe for males it was an attempt to mitigate masturbation when boys were young, and maybe to minimized problems a man can have as an adult when his foreskin doesn't retract. idk. With girls I think it was driven by the male notion of owning the daughters and removing all their potential for pleasure so they would be less likely to fool around before marriage. That's my theory. I believe any form of mutilation of the sex organs should be relegated to history, but sadly it is so embedded in "tradition."

Interesting discussion. Good topic. First I am excited to know that the Nigerian version of pidgin English is spoken in other West African countries. Nice to hear these women attempt pidgin English. Kudos girls😀 On the topic itself my comment is as follows. The female sexuality is actually complex. Though the clitoris is a true erectile organ and is seen as the centre of female eroticism, it’s importance can sometimes be exaggerated. I have seen uncircumcised women who don’t enjoy sex and I have seen circumcized women who enjoy sex so much that they are almost nymphos. Many things contribute to the female arousal. These include their mental state, spoken words from their partners, the way they are touched and they way they are loved. Also there are many other erotic spots that if well touched will get the correct results. These include the G- spot, the perineum, the nipples etc. Also very key is how well a partner spends on his woman. Women are very aroused when they are showered with material things. This is why some people say every woman has “ashawo” trait in them. Some women may not agree but men can prove it by buying their wives expensive gifts and see how the sex that night will be. I can assure you it will be different, not just in terms of her performance but in terms of her arousal heights. I’d also like to agree that many wives have had many children without ever experiencing orgasms. This is unfortunate. And it stems from husbands not recognizing some of these factors I mentioned above and addressing them. Foreplay is so key and it starts in the morning through text messages, and love calls before even the sex act in the night. And just before the sex itself foreplay needs to be patiently done. It’s very hard for a woman not to have orgasm if her husband takes his time to do cunnilingis and also knows the right amount of pressures and where to apply them. Oral sex as a foreplay hardly fails in all women. Women only resist it when their partners are poor at it or when they are unsure of their hygiene status. Women need to know that part of why men like cunnilingus is their peculiar aroma which is a well recognized aphrodisiac. No two women smell alike. So that peculiarity makes every woman special. About rough sex. 90% of women like rough sex. But the degree of roughness varies. A hubby needs to learn exactly how rough their wives want it. Read her well and apply. She will love it. Most women are subs and really love to be dominated or “manhandled” in bed. Well done ladies. Good job👍

Vickie the subject at hand needs to be looked at with a cultural or traditional lens. Cutting of the clitoris has its health hazards. And government after government have found it hard to eradicate it even when the practice has proven to be harmful as recently some girls died while being cut.

It's my understanding that Krio women don't get circumcised. Is this because of their predominantly Christian beliefs?
@VickieRemoe
@VickieRemoe 5 ай бұрын
Both Christians and Muslims practice female circumcision in Sierra Leone but there are more circumcized Muslims because 2/3 Sierra Leoneans (70%) identify as Muslim. Krio women don't practice circumcision because it is not their custom, I don't think religion is the reason.
