Sierra Railroad Freight Operations 1979 - 2018

In this video we will look at some of the freight operations of the historic Sierra Railroad running through the California foothills. The show begins showing the Baldwin S12s of 1955 vintage pulling the regular freights. Then its off to Riverbank on the old Santa Fe in 2018 with ex-SP GP9 132. Then follow the 50, 52, and 132 from Oakdale to Standard and back along a railroad right of way that dates back to 1897. Enjoy!

well let's be clear the tracks were probably in better shape in 79 then they are now and nobody wants a derailment going 40 mph on old rails cause those trains look like there bouncing a lot
