Sometimes children do find that amusing where they hide from their parents and they wonder how long it takes for mummy/daddy to look for me, but they don't realize that maybe hiding somewhere you can't be found is extremely dangerous. Guys am a parent of teenagers and looking at the comments all the guys sound like you are young parents - please remember you need to teach your children life skills and experience that they need to understand between play and not play. She is young and needs to understand the world in her own way. So find a spot in the room put up a tent or play house and she can play in there. Parenting is the most rewarding and the most challenging job in the world remember a little discipline goes a long way and always praise good behaviour and achievements- lots of love to you guys - auntie ji x

This is very scary you have to make her understand about danger.Maybe she is still too young to grasp the concept but you have to try and imprint on her hiding is not a game.Try and lock all doors that are not being used.Just recently in my country in the Caribbean a two year old wandered out of his house and walked about a mile to the banks of a river where he fell in and drowned.

my daughter did same, hide and seek, then she wanted to jump off the window, because in her mind she was searching for new spot to hide. worst nightmare... finally we put a strict NO to her hiding. she started doing it everywhere in malls in parks, horrible feeling when you call out and they wont listen , respond.. our biggest nightmare was when she tried to do this n haram Makkah.. she was 18 month old.. but they have brains of wolf hahahaha

This is scary, I'm worried because she wasn't even scared to go alone into the basement, in an area she doesn't even know about. I would say don't even play hide and seek for fun and now if she does it, scold her. She can get into dangerous areas, like the washing machine, I just recently heard that about a child. Don't let her play hide and seek at all, considering now it's not cute, it's dangerous, because she has no fear.
