You get better and better in your films. Very pleasant to watch.

Thanks for that Leszek. Norma gave me some ammunition and that freed up sufficient time from the reloading bench so I could sit down and do some actual reading/ learning about filmmaking and the freed up money went straight to external microphones.

It appears the sound is much better. The video feels much more alive. Very nice.

Coffee was not there...changing to soft drinks?, scenery very pleasant and relaxing
@THLR7 жыл бұрын
I think changing to sugar drinks on a permanent basis would be disastrous to my health. Yes, the summers can be nice here.

no free lunch unfortunately, as recoil increases, so does cal./ bullet performance as the range gets longer. I truly love the 338L.M. performance in the wind.

It's a great cartridge. It will be interesting to see how bullets will develop the next few years. The "traditional" gap between a good high bc 338 and smaller high bc 6,5/7/30 bullets have become smaller in 2017 with the new high Bc bullets. Will be interesting to see how this develops.

That round is hell on targets...looks like a lot of hot dog meat this hunting season. But you can probably forego the tracking dog.

CR Rains Unfortunately I do not work with a dog anymore. A great loss to me. I'm sure you understand as a dog hunter.

Good shooting in a really nice location. What do you think of the Strelok ballistic calculator?
@THLR7 жыл бұрын
I didn't like it due the access rights it wanted to my then-smartphone. But any reputable ballistic app seems to work fine, is more a matter of learning to use it properly and avoiding input error.

Mehmet Kaya Thanks. The film is edited for time, so the shots are not that fast.

Thomas, you are doing better and better with your mid-life-crisis rifle. I believe you've already built some confidence to think about hunting with your 300NM, where bullets must hit where they were intended to hit.
@THLR7 жыл бұрын
Yes, it took a while but comfortable and confident with this rifle now. After attending the Midnight Sun Rifle Challenge match with it (stupid choice if you shoot for points) I have a firm grip of what I can and what I cannot do with this rifle/cartridge combo. In short, it gives me all the winddrift benefits of my old 338 LM but far more versatility as for use in my hunting rifle.

im m ptretty sure when the lambs heard ketchup squirt out they said"baaaa"
@THLR7 жыл бұрын
Pvk Jhilk There seems to be a lot of hostility towards ketchup today :D. The lambs occasionally enter the range and tend to shot everywhere when they do.

Umm, i have a question: How do you know that the distance is 100m or 300m etc.?
@THLR7 жыл бұрын
On this range the distances to the target are shown printed on a plaque. Otherwise, I normally use a laser rangefinder.

Hei Thomas. Hvilken tofot bruker du her?
@THLR7 жыл бұрын
Lasse Rendal Norske RPS. Ikke fordu den er "best", men fordi den gjør jobben og det er endel trening å skifte tofot/ lære å skyte over den.

Juan jose Ermakimix I usually end up somewhere 10-15x when I shoot. I'm not particular about if, I just turn until I feel I see the target well enough.

THLR.NO Is it true, and how do you know the taste of Polish sausage? I hope not with the story
@THLR7 жыл бұрын
One of my teachers in North Dakota was of Polish emigrants, they had very much kept the sausage tradition alive in their family. It opened my eyes to what sausages can be when done right.
