I just moved October 31st. The movers stoled or threw away a good amount of my stuff. Some of it was my Christmas stuff that I've been using since my children were younger and since I've had my grandbabies. I haven't even been able to enjoy the house I moved into because every time I turn around I'm realizing that something is missing. I hope you have a better experience than I did with y'all's movers and y'alls move in general. Congratulations!😊

There is nothing wrong with renting. I've owned 3 houses over the years and I can honestly say renting is definitely better. When you rent the landlord is responsible for fixing things that break. When you own, YOU are responsible for fixing everything that breaks and believe me it adds up fast. I'll never own another house for that reason. I'm 1000% happier too. The stress of owning a home is gone.

Well yeah that's assuming the landlord actually does their job and fixes things correctly and in a timely manner, which many don't, even in the so-called "luxury" apartments. I don't mind being responsible for my own house if that means I have more control over when and how things get done, even if I have to do it myself. I guess it's all about what's more important to you, convenience or control over your own dwelling. I've owned my home for quite a while now, and not one day do I miss renting and being under the mercy of a landlord EVER.

Hey kiddo! Quick tip for your walk in closet, you don't need to put a rod up for clothes. The white shelving is used for that. The space on the front, the lower pole is where you hang your clothes from. Hope this helps and saves you a few $. 🧡

I was just letting Sierra know something I didn't know when I bought my first home and had the same shelving in a few closets granted this was back in 2001 and I am pretty sure my shelves were from the 80's. So, I figured I would let Sierra know something I hadn't known to maybe help her to not buy anything or do any work that wasn't needed.

I never understand why they put towel racks so far from the shower. One of first things we did when we moved into our new house was get a hook to hang the towel right next to the shower so you grab it without having to get out. I left the towel bar across the room for the pretty towels my husband isn't allowed to use and keep the rest in the bathroom linen closet. That's what sold me on the house, a large, long closet with built-in shelves in the bathroom. I love the floors in your bathroom. I have a very similar kitchen set up, same corner lazy Susan , they sell storage containers that are designed to fit on it perfectly. They were such a helpful purchase because otherwise, things get messy, stuck, hard to get to.

Congrats on the new house!! So excited for this era!! As far as mounting the tv goes, you could totally do it as long as you patch the drywall and paint over it (assuming that the landlord only cares about holes left behind and not the actual mounting of the tv itself). You can take a paint chip sample from a closet or inconspicuous corner, get a small container of paint custom mixed to match at a hardware store, then patch any holes and paint over when you move out. Super worth it, I've done it before!
