Great video. Would love to go back again as a member of the Freinds and work on the train crew like i use to in the past. Alas, due to back injuries that's not going to be possible. Last time I made to the museum was July 4th, 2017. Hope to go there this year. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see that Virginia & Truckee #22 has been cleared to pull a postal car - she ran trains of up to five cars during her prime. And #25 working out her new tender. I still think a black-and-silver version of the #22 tender scheme as of this vid correct for #25, and a burgundy-and-gold version of the tenders of #12 and #13 (they have the oval trim rings, with gold flowerwork and "V. & T. R. R." lettering on each side) out here in California as correct for #22.

V&T #25 is exhibited today in her 1935 appearance, due to the loss of her original tender trucks and tender frame in a wreck, and receiving the trucks and steel frame she has today.

That second steam locomotive the number 25 looks like a nice average steamer. Looks like beautiful geeat shape, also the first steamer was beautiful also.

whom ever set up this museum did a great job, been there a # of times and enjoyed it the displays are well thought out and the interpetive program is good too. as for the train rides , @ least they dont have to worry about buying right of way and or fight with freight lines to run trains . when were the wigwags replaced ? thanks for the vid.

Wow! Its amazing so see one of those old fashioned "Iron Horses" still running. Guess youbcant blame the engineers for getting train robbed sometimes. Because of how the speed is for them.

Both the Inyo and the #25 we're capable of speeds up to 60 MPH.
