I would’ve liked to see more in depth of the color analysist talking to the other girls as she did with Sierra. From the screen with the quick color changes and not knowing what shades she is talking about and what we are looking at it’s hard to tell what looks better. Either way, still a good video!

If you're shopping for a specific color palette, online is NEVER a good option. The screen you use can make the colors of the items look more blue toned or yellow toned. I face palmed myself when Sierra took a picture of her palette to online shop distorting the colors of the palette even more. Safiya did a similar video to this one and she went shopping with her color swatches, it was really well done, so professional if someone's interested in learning more about color analysis. The House of color lady was so professional and graceful, loved her 🥰

The bra fitting video was nice because we got to see everyone react to their new bras, we heard their insights, we felt more in the room and this video I felt like we didn't get any of that. Like this video was informational, sure, but I would have loved to see and hear more of how each consultation went or when the colors where being pulled. Like I would have loved to hear some more back and forth from everyone and the consultant, not just Sierra nodding and saying yeah😅😂 It felt just a little bit more toned down and maybe because the bra video was so emotional but I liked hearing everyone make comments and cheer on people in the background.

Since the SCU - Sierra Cinematic Universe, is still in the beginning stages. I’ll allow myself to comment. I didn’t really enjoy this video- I Felt like it was ALOT of teaching but then it also feels like I’m missing a lot. Ik you love hanging with the whole team and it’s genuinely fun-- I LOVE the vlogs. But maybe just take turn picking members of the team to include. There were too much people. If this many ppl-- the video needs to be longer I think. Maybe the algorithm wouldn’t like that- you’ll know that part- you’re the expert. But yea--LESS people or MORE time. I was surprise by ryian colors.

Would have loved to see the makeup on Raiyan to understand the makeup look on a darker skin tone… I’m wondering if maybe they didn’t have the makeup colors for dark skin tones? Seems weird to leave out otherwise. Fun video nonetheless!
@JoneseyBanana Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have dark enough shades for her - the mainstream beauty and makeup world is still behind on shade inclusivity as it is, and whenever I've watched content from colour analysis consultants they tend to heavily focus on lighter skin tones. I guess it's an older method that's coming back into vogue, and their training probably wasn't very inclusive back in the 80s. Hopefully if that was the issue they've now realised that they need to expand their range.
@glitterberserker1029 Жыл бұрын
@@JoneseyBanananot to mention the notion that only winters should wear black mascara. What if your eyelashes are black? Or is everyone with black hair a winter? This color analysis fad can be fun but most of the systems people are using were made for white people and may or may not work on anyone else.

I feel like the reason we all want autumn is that they are the "trendy" right now, but winter colors were super trendy less than 10 years ago! i think finding our color palettes can help us refine our own personal styles to build a more sustainable wardrobe and makes us more resistant to trends which die every 3-4 years :)

Hi. As someone who fell into the color analysis rabbit hole some months ago (and discovered she's an autumn), I'm glad that autumn colors are "in" nowadays. In my country, I see loads of clothes in autumn/ warm colors. It must be tough to buy clothes for those who are cool-toned. I've also tried to analyse many of my compatriots - I think we're mostly warm toned (we're brown POCs).

I was truly surprised when she said that she couldn’t see undertones on people on the street. When color theory had its big break through in the late 80s I read everything I could find about it and used to carry swatches to color theorize all of my friends. I could see in a second what colors all of you were except the girl with purple hair since that distracted to much. You all became absolutely gorgeous though! Great fun to see the come back of this very flattering system. 💕
@tomjones2157 Жыл бұрын
@GalaentertainmentBlizzmia69 it's not true, some people are very easy to tell the undertone as you can compare to the clothes on them and surrounding colours. People on the street aren't nude!. I knew Sierra was a Summer the first second I saw her on screen years ago. I think that particular colour analyst struggles a bit. Anyone can learn but people with an artistic eye will get it so much quicker than her as it's an inborn talent to them. Like those musical people with perfect pitch, some are also better than others at seeing small differences of colour.

In 9th grade, I took a home ec class. We had to make a shirt in class, so before that, we did a sort of color analysis in class. The teacher had a bunch of color swatches - they were rectangles with a curve cut out (to hold up to your chin. Your group members would tell you if the color looked good with your skin tone. I was saying that I knew I don't look good in pink. Our teacher overheard, and she interrupted. She said that I just needed to right shade of pink (meaning with different undertones). We tried EVERY SINGLE PINK swatch. There were like 50+ pinks. After going through all of them, the teacher chuckled and said that I was the first person ever to take her class that didn't look good in ANY pink! I said it was all good since I hate pink, lol.

I confess I’m surprised and a bit disappointed that the system used only four categories, where a lot of systems these days use more. Often each season has three subcategories. The season is only the start, because, as you see with the wow colours, some colours in your season are good and some are fabulous. I think Sierra is not a Light Summer or Soft Summer, but a Cool or True Summer.
@kitty_s23456 Жыл бұрын
Hi. I think they were too many to get into the in-depth color analysis (sub-seasons). The analysis with subseasons (plus makeup tips) usually takes 1 to 2 hrs per person. I think for the purpose of their vid, knowing their main season is enough. Also, maybe it's cheaper for a group package & only the main seasons? For the complete session (with sub-season), it can cost ~300$.

@Kitty S I pretty much stuck to any color, but yellowish tones all the way from yellowish orange to lime green. I have definitely had moments while shopping where I'd hold something yellow up and say how cute it is, and she'd ask if it came in a different color. She taught me to hold it up to my face in a mirror. It makes me look very sallow and sickly, so I get where she's coming from. My mom is a lovely lady, though, and she wouldn't make me feel bad if I wore something she didn't like. I love yellow, and I can get away with it if it isn't right by my face. Cardigans are okay because the yellowish light doesn't bounce up and make me look ill.
