Pro tip, not pregnant but bought that the Maternity dress that Rachel bought from Pink Blush in white and used it as my wedding dress (with a couple alterations) for my cottage covid wedding. Worked great and I also propose a 4-way photoshoot 😂

Probably because obese people often have fertility issues due to their excess weight and have a significantly harder time getting pregnant in general.

If you're looking for a more affordable option, shop your maternity clothes second hand. Since they aren't worn for very long you can still get some high quality gently used items at a fraction of the cost and it's easier on your wallet for only getting a few wears out of them too. I'm down for getting a few staples or personal style pieces new. But at least the basics, get second hand.

The Old Navy by me has a small section of Maternity Returns. All are heavily marked down because they are returned items but most things are in perfect condition. I bought 4 pairs of maternity pants the other day under $40.

33 weeks pregnant myself and the maternity clothes struggle is REAL. There is also nowhere by me to try in-person other than a teeny tiny section at Target. And I live in a huge metro area in the Northeast U.S.! I basically just order massive online orders, with multiple sizes for each item, and then return everything that doesn’t work (aka 90% of the stuff). I got my baby shower dress from PinkBlush. Their bodycon style dresses are rough with sizing. I would normally be a Medium and I barely squeezed into an XL of the dress for my shower. Looked amazing but it was snug!

Anyone else find it kinda interesting that they keep saying the Storq stuff is so expensive while the pants that Sierra sells on her own website are also $75? The Storq ones are even made to be worn during both pregnancy, post partum and after, whereas her pants aren't. I love watching these videos, and I'm definitely not saying the price for her own pants isn't justified since I know how much work she put into those, it's just interesting compared to their opinions in this video.

Late to the video and i want to echo what a few people have said... always check old navy clearance sections. There are always heavily discounted items there. I found some overall shorts for $10 and plenty of pants at a bargain. Ranging from $5 - $20.

I tried to wear my regular clothes to work as long as I could when I was pregnant. I wore a brown outfit and looked like a turkey! Worth it to buy the dress/skort even for 12 weeks.

The Storq Anytime Overalls are one of the best things I’ve ever bought. I still wear them 2 years postpartum.

Over 2 pregnancies I tried a lot of different pants and by far my favorite were the full panel from kohls. The ones specifically that have a faux front with button and pockets. They were the only ones that would stay on my body. The shorts were also great. They also have belt loops so you could wear a belt if needed. I liked the old Navy pants in theory, they're the one non super expensive brand that has stylish jeans, they just never stayed on. Also I learned in my first pregnancy that many stores like old Navy only carry maternity items if they are returned to the physical store. So you need to look in either the women's clearance racks or look in the baby clearance.

I'm just saying, try old navy's maternity panties. I'm old and way past having kids but I thought hmmmm...maternity panties are the same as regular but with a wider belly panel. Loved them!!! Covers the belly nicely with a light support. Don't knock it until you try it!!

Helpful tip . In 2022 Walmarts maternity tang tops were so soft and not expensive. And I’m a size 20 plus size gal so I was surprised by them. Hopefully they still have stuff like that now

This was fun. I like your choices bc they’re things that ANY mama to be could wear. Prices were reasonable and quality (with your minor downsides) are doable for most “middle income” budgets, especially when you know you’ll have more kids in a short space. Congrats to you both on your pregnancies. Can’t wait to see post partum baby follow up. Sierra, I feel like you needed a more supportive bra in this video. The sage dress was super cute and would’ve sat/fitted around your bosom better.

Because it seems like the more affordable maternity options are just very basic and almost like you have to pay more to get more stylized options.
