Looks so pretty and peaceful there Si. I love the Crosse & Blackwell pot. Nice early find. I love the cup too with the beautiful pattern on it great find. Woohoo. People must have had lots of picnics all those years ago with the beautiful meat/fish paste pots you find in the muck, which is wonderful. People had really heavy going jobs... And to get out in the fresh air must have been magical. 🤗

My choirmaster is a very quirky man and being a musician not known for his woodworking skills. However a couple of years ago put out a plea for wood. Floorboards pallets etc. As a result he built a summer house with a front decking. It’s very skew wiff and he’s named it the Wonky Lodge. It’s a masterpiece of odd workmanship and old wood! Everyone loves it and it’s a privilege to be invited to his evening soirées there.

You could turn the pewter base into a lamp base, or perhaps a candlestick if you find an old barley-twist chair leg to attach to it and hollow out the top to fit the candle. Great finds.

With the musical instrumental motifs could the pewter base be to a music stand to hold your sheet music ? Knew the lamp base as soon as you extracted it, I have one similar in glass. Love the round up chorus of chickens and the Nelly cameo, great day out Si and friends. x

Hi Si, what a great little creek for a mucklark! You guys just love mud and muck. There are many obstacles to get past too, mozzies, nettles, squiggly water thingies, and soooo much sludge. Some good finds. I was not surprised that you took the street sign, but was VERY surprised at how you got it looking so good in the end. What perseverance! Is there nothing you guys won’t do for a find!? Poor old Terry’s wet under-parts! Can he repair those waders or are another pair on the cards? Loved this video….as usual! Hooroo from downunder🦘😁

My favorite pleasure in watching your videos is your research of manufacturers and the darn beauty of location. You might be in a poor part of town or near an industrial area, but the greenery, trees and water makes it look like you are in a nature preserve. The decorative quality of the pottery is very interesting to look at. England history is so interesting. Love the street sign. Nelson looks just like my Red and Blue cats. Great video!

A nice river exploration. I don't have the Thames to run to, so local small rivers is my destination. I use my bare hands to fish around for finds too, making sure not to cut myself on broken glass items in the process. I dig into the river bed too, as the river is ever changing and find items below the surface.

@@Sifinds Hi Si, I live 13 miles west of Cardiff and any rivers in this area. You'll probably know the best rivers are those where there have been ash dumps near the river, my local is one such river, finds also to be dug for in the river banks in the ash. I mentioned digging the river bed to see what's below the surface, obviously there has to be some known potential there to explore more, otherwise digging in for nothing can be tiring. Before organised rubbish collection, I also think about Houses built by the river and perhaps people threw their bottles etc. in there hoping they'd be carried out to the sea and out of their lives. I wasn't dissing yours or any Thames explorations BTW, it was just a lead in to say, it's refreshing to see your small river explorations; but essentially variety in your videos is great. 👍
