You need to get Marcus on SIFTD just so we can see his arguments bounce off Matt's. Superb analysis all round. Great show. The dislike of Keighley is palpable and warranted. I thought the SGF was a joke. Full of AA and indies. If this is the future of the show then quite frankly it's dead before it could establish itself. As for E3, unfortunately it's a pipe dream to see that come back. As Shaun said publishers want to control the narrative and space. They will do their own thing and meet up at Gamescom. What killed E3? The avarice of the ESA. E3 just became a money machine for the ESA, a sentiment Keighley is looking to repeat with the SGF. Publishers are tight bastards mo matter how much money they make. You want to win them back to E3, give them a show to host without feeling they have been ripped off. But I agree Keighley has cornered the market on hosting these shows and it's getting really fucking boring

I agree with Pachter on Summer Game fest. Someone had to do it. Remember Geof Keighley started small with these shows and figured it out. Yeah it started to get boring now. So someone else should step in and do it better.
