I've been a Glock guy for years until I fired my first Sig P226, the gun practically shoots itself- A REAL TACK DRIVER just way better than my old G19 or any of my Glocks. I've sold all of my Glocks once I caught the "SIGness" Once you hold and fire one you'll understand why you will spend the extra cash. 3 for me so far- just picked up the P229R for the perfect carry-just a beautiful handgun and after you install the SRT trigger system you"ll wonder why you you settled for the horrible Glock squishy trigger. The de-cocker just makes it feel safer to carry for me, love sa/da trigger- no going back to the ugly plastic Glock for me. There must have been some serious underbidding by Glock or serious budget cuts to replace the Sig P226 or M9 for the special forces to a G19. Don't believe me, go give a P226 a run at the range sometime- you will understand the difference 😃

The SIG SAUER P226 MK25 is as robust as it is iconic! The DA/SA trigger system in general is arguably the best for both new shooters and seasoned shooters alike! The double action helps keep you out of trouble and the single action makes follow up shots easy! And when put into the P226 package, the value proposition is hard to turn down! The Legion series is even more refined, but the Navy models are certainly a strong offering! The P226 is just as relevant today as the when they were first made! And even after all these years, law enforcement agencies and militaries around the world still use it! I'm thinking of adding an MK25 to my collection and add an upgraded Sig SRT trigger!

The Sig p226 has always felt comfortable in my hands. It is very similar to the 1911 or Walther P99 in that regard. Those three guns have an uncanny ability to feel like they have a custom built grip just for you even when they don't.

I picked up my brand new Sig mk25 9mm a couple months ago and been so busy I haven't been able to fire it yet. It's still got the factory oil. I've taken it apart many many times, then practiced blind folded so I'm very comfy with it now and it comes apart very easily and it's very simple. I was tempted to buy a used one exactly like mine for 550$ but I had to have it brand new. It had to be MY gun not some possibly abused and uncared for gun so I put down the $1200.00 and I don't regret it one bit. I love that there's no safety and I love the single or double action with the de-cock. Obviously when you have the hammer cocked back it doesn't take much to pull the trigger or accidentally bump it. When the hammer is down, you have to pull that trigger quite a bit back before it pushes the hammer back and fires so I consider the decock a safety mechanism. It's enough safety for me. I don't need a mechanism locking my trigger

The Sig 226 in my opinion stands tall with other legendary semi- auto pistols like the 1911 and the 92 Berretta. When the FBI was using them in the 1990s I felt they had something good they would stick to, but things kind of change. Sig is a giant and glad the Secret Service protects The President with them. Like the Sig or not, any You Tuber reviewer bad mouthing the Sig would most likely result in a instant and serious loss of credibility. Unlike other guns that claim perfection and try to advertise it , Sig is the real deal. Sigs do not require dumping hundreds of dollars in parts to get to perfection. They are there!

SIG P226, the most beautiful gun. I want it!
@ragrj20097 жыл бұрын
I 1990 I fired a SIG P220 in 45 ACP. Nobody on the range was able to find out where the shots were going. That gun had a huge problem on its barrel or just in the placement of fixed sights. But now... I am impressed by SIG-Sauer.

hickok45 Hey Hickock45! About the history on why the Sig P226 didn't make it, it was because of money. Sig had the easy win against Beretta, but Beretta's were priced lower. Navy Seals did not care about pricing and they wanted the better gun. Great shooting and great videos, I admire your shooting ability with handguns! Have a good day!
@schancac9 жыл бұрын
Tyler Newton The SEALs did care about pricing, but the Beretta M-9 would malfunction, hitting the shooter in the face with the slide. The seals have a saying... "You're not a SEAL until you've tasted Italian steel!"
@bobbernaut2169 жыл бұрын
schancac I didnt know that, thanks for the info! Is the Italian steel referring to Sig?
@schancac9 жыл бұрын
Tyler Newton No, The SiG is a Swiss company, made in Germany. They were referring to the Beretta slide malfunction. The slide split in two after firing and the back half of the slide struck the shooter in the face! The round the SEALs were putting through it was too powerful. Beretta revised the M9 (92FS) but the stop they put in didn't fix the failure, it just stopped the slide from hitting the face when it failed.

the sig didnt get selected because beretta were willing to open a factory in the states but sig didnt, but the sig beat the m9 in almoast every aspect.
@AlphaNova8888 жыл бұрын
actually sig had already outsourced a factory here in the states prior to the early 90s testing for the test. they opened a factory in Exeter NH. the model 92 beat the sig by a very small margin mainly bc of price... the sig was around 250 dollars more per unit wholesale and the mag capacity. the sig has 3 less rounds. but the navy and coast guard did adopt the sig. but I believe, correct me if I'm wrong, but any firearm that is being entered into the testing phase for US military adoption has to be willing to open a domestic factory prior to testing to even be considered an option. such as h&k or fn herstal... but I'm not meaning to be rude or think I know everything but ever since my father was a Texas ranger I have been dedicated to sig, I own a p220, p226, p229, p250, and a p320. I love them. other than a good colt or Kimber 1911, sig is all I carry. I truly believe that in my opinion nothing else stands a chance compared to a sig.
@Will3808-q9f5 жыл бұрын
No,because beretta is 200dollar cheaper, and state need 600000. So it’s a lot money
