Hi there, I'm the designer of that ROMEO1 pro tool. I just found this video. Really appreciated your words on this.

Oh that’s fantastic thanks for letting me know! This was a big improvement - thanks for what you do!

Thank you!!! Just bought a Sig m18 Sunday and have yet to shoot it. That will be taken care of very soon! Also got a 1 Pro in FDE and I will be getting that mounted also. Your detailed content gave me a lot of information. I now see that I want to use the shroud and I was on the fence about that. No more. Thank you!

What kind of screws are there ? Do you know the size and type
@ThruMyLens1005 жыл бұрын
BRABUSALLEGRO - I don’t but if it helps they appear to be the same screws from the previous generation of Romeo1.
@jimc36885 жыл бұрын
I believe the screws are a bit wider on the Pro.

Will the Romeo Pro work on the X-series?
@ThruMyLens1004 жыл бұрын
Scoop TheReal - that’s a good question. Outside of the Legion X5, I’m not sure which other P320 variations are compatible with the pro. I believe SIG is slowly converting all of their models.

I called Sig; they told me the 1 Pro will work on my P320 X carry.

So it uses the same footprint as the leupold dpp?
@ThruMyLens1005 жыл бұрын
Jed Vel - That is correct.

Where did you find a romeo1pro for less than $300? I can't find any south of $400
@ThruMyLens1005 жыл бұрын
rockmo4896 - I ordered mine from the SIG Academy Pro Shop. You can get a 20% discount there. More if you are retired military, first responder, or like myself are an NRA certified instructor.

Alpha Ghoster - SIG optics is located in Oregon but it’s not clear to me where it’s made.

The price is already at RMR territory and we all know how rugged the RMR is.
@ThruMyLens1005 жыл бұрын
Kyle Belcina - well the street price of an RMR is ~$500.00. A Romeo1 Pro can be had for considerably less - under $300.00. I’ve always considered the Romeo1 a competition red dot first and foremost. But maybe the Pro will make me consider it suitable for defensive use.

@@ThruMyLens100 I'm seeing the Romeo 1 Pro for just under $400 at most of the online retailers, OpticsPlanet, MidwayUSA, EuroOptic, etc. Maybe there are sales for the Pro I'm missing. Meanwhile EuroOptic has the type 2 RMR for $420. To me for practically the same price I'd go with the RMR.

The fact that Sig would charge you more bc their product requires a protective cover seems...ridiculous. Either make it to the point that it doesn’t need it or throw the protective cover in for free. 🤷🏼♂️

Not impressed. It’s not different enough from the original imo.
@ThruMyLens1005 жыл бұрын
William A. Horton - if you have a SIG with the new DPP footprint, you can’t use the older “original.”
@dr.william.a.horton5 жыл бұрын
Yeah I was waiting for this to drop but after seeing it ended up getting the DPP. Like you said the Romeo is not a sight I trust on a carry gun.
@ThruMyLens1005 жыл бұрын
William A. Horton Trijicom RMR is the only dot I trust on a carry gun. Not a fan of the DPP.
@dr.william.a.horton5 жыл бұрын
I was wondering why you said you didn’t like the DPP. You should do a video on that.
@malone2125 жыл бұрын
You can use the original romeo 1 on the new footprint. It will just have a gap at the front.
