The M11-A1 is my primary carry. Just an outstanding sidearm. I carry it concealed in a DeSantis IWB holster, or externally in a Spetzgear Beltloop holster. Love. That. Gun. I also have a Sig P226, but not the Mk25 version. It definitely lives up to the legend. I actually prefer the M11-A1, because it just "feels" better to me; it fits my hands perfectly and is a real pleasure to carry and shoot.

I recently purchased the M11-A1 and it is just a pleasure to shoot. This pistol makes it easy to hit exactly what your aiming at due to its balance and quick trigger reset . I can reacquire my target quickly. I normally carry a Glock 22 for a duty pistol but I am now thinking of purchasing a new holster to carry the M11-A1. For now its my conceal carry weapon.

Man, I’d have a hard time deciding between those two, those are my all time fave 9mms, as well as the much older ones as well, like the Navy P226 without the rail, I’d probably go with the P228

Sorry to necropost, but in case you or anyone else is curious, it’s actually like that for us in the military as well. In the Army, we call them cage stickers or we stickers, and you’ll find that with time they eventually wear away/fall off and supply will get them reproduced. Prior to the M9 being replaced by the M17, my unit started applying cage stickers to those as well. They’re nice, but as long as you have a serial number you’ll be alright.

Can anybody answer why I seen a BRAND NEW M11A1 with a Rail dust cover or Picatinny? I thought ALL M11A1’s and German made P228s came with just a basic dust cover(no rail). Ive searched EVERYWHERE even on internet and can’t find that gun no where but I seen it in person. Not even freaking Google images has a picture of it. No it wasn’t custom either it was brand new from Sig now at my local firearms store.

"M11-A1" is based on the original M11/P228 design with no rail. "P229" is the latest model with the rail. Think of the M11-A1 as a crossover model that fits in between the original M11/P228 and the newer P229. It's a modernized version of the original M11/P228 with differences like: milled slide, phosphate coated internals, short-reset trigger, 15-round magazine, etc.

Can I use this gun while I’m in the Army and will I get to use this gun while I’m in the DEA so is that possible if I could use this gun while I’m in the Army National Guard and while I’m in the DEA?

But is the M-11 A1 the same pistol as the we p228 (p228?
@repeter6 жыл бұрын
There are some differences. Both fit in the same holster. One comes with night sights the P228 doesn't. One of the differences is the slide material and process to make it. P228 uses 13 round magazines, while the M11-A1 can use those, or the P229 15 round magazines, which is comes with 3 when you buy it new. There are some other minor differences, like engraving and the internal coating, as well as the M11-A1 comes with the Short Reset Trigger. In a way, (from my humble experience) the M11-A1 is an upgraded P228. I have both and still shoot both. I am still breaking in my M11-A1, as I unfortunatly do not get to shoot as much as I used to, or as much as I would like.

I wish you guys could make the m11-a1 legal for California, I know it cant now because of the microstamping law, but its going to be thrown out hopefully within a year by federal court.

Mk is short for mark
@DowntownDeuce22 жыл бұрын
@@foxraider53 The OP was referring to the pronunciation, not the spelling. How in the hell could a two syllable slang be "short" for a single syllable word?!? As difficult as it is to believe, you know even less about phonics than you do about small arms. You have obviously never served your country, certainly not in the Department of the Navy or SOCOM capacity. Limit your comments to legos, video games, and boy bands. Refrain from commenting on things that you know nothing about in a feeble attempt to feel worldly.

@@foxraider53 USN, SCPO '88-'12, and you? It sure wasn't in any branch of the military, kid. "Em Kay?"
@DowntownDeuce22 жыл бұрын
@UCMeLe7ZAu-SYO-Bc-vW7n2g Sure, kid. I'm pretty sure the Marine corps still has some basic standards, from basic phonics to small arms classification. Even your imaginary service was a short stint; that's a real success story. Eat some alphabet soup, it might help with your literacy and phonics problems. Are you afraid it will trigger whatever form of dyslexia that prevented you from knowing first week boot camp nomenclature? Don't worry, you can still get a job as a mall cop or jailer.

"Em-Kay 25" (sic)?!? Seriously? This is the problem with hiring inexperienced and uninitiated to represent an otherwise credible company. Hire those who are familiar with the industry and its constituents, not unskilled labor from a job fair.
