I find the red dot immediately improved my shooting. Not having to strain my eyes to line up iron sights was a big plus. For various reasons, there may not be a learning curve for everyone.

Zalathorm thanks for the comment! I'm jealous. It's taking me quite a while to get used to it. I have a glock mos that I just did A video on and it seems to be much easier to transition to than the p320. Cheers!

Zalathorm for me, it's more about the idea of using a red dot on a pistol. The first time I took mine (M&P9 w/ RMR) out I tried to co-witness the iron sights then find the red dot. And one day it just hits me, the red dot should work just like on a rifle, without sight alignment. And I tried to ignore the iron sights, and my accuracy got improved drastically

I remember read it somewhere. That when you install the battery. After you tightened the cap with supplied screw driver, you should use a steel one and give it one last turn. When the cap is in its proper position, the " open" should be in the 12 o'clock front position

ParasidicGeneration The P250 is the original awesomeness! Being wrong-handed I loved the P250! it was hard for me to get use to the full trigger reset of the P250 because I was use to DA/SA and XD short resets. Now that the P320 has come out I've been carrying the P320 so long that I mess up with my P250 now and keep not letting the trigger reset before I try pulling the trigger again. But other than my "user error" my P250 has never failed on its own accord.

KSGunguy..... I just watched this awesome video. For the longest time I would not consider the Sig line because of their prices. However I have changed my mind now that I am into competition. I am going to get the P320X with the Romeo RDO. How would you compare it to the X 5 Legion? I think they are close with the exception of some differences in the slides.

Howdy I'm a new sub love your vides! I'm picking up a new P320 RX full size this weekend and I think it will be a great shooter! My only concern is the Romeo. Mainly the battery life! What has been your experience with it? Also if I should add the metal shroud to it? I can mount a Delta point pro t it if the Romeo is no god correct? Thx!!

I just got my RX today, wahoo! I was hell bent on a Glock 19, had a Glock 17 years ago and loved it. But I love the look and feel of the P320 RX. I was going to get a Vortex Venom red dot for a G19 MOS, but decided on the RX based on friends recommending a Sig moreso and the Romeo1 is a bonus. This vid played a role in my decision, so thanks. Can't wait to try my bad boy out!

I thought it was interesting that you mention that you got this particular RX at Cabelas for $800 and change. I'm glad I waited. I just picked mine up at Cabelas last week for 649 with the Romeo! It was such a spankin deal I couldn't say no!😎 BTW,, I'm curious if anybody knows if you can change it to 40 or 357 Sig with just a barrel change, or do you have to also put in a new slide and Spring assembly? I would have preferred buying the RX in one of those calibers but it wasn't available.

No you can't switch a 9mm to .40 or .357 sig. The only reason you can convert a .40 to. 357 sig or vice versa is because both rounds are use the same size case. (One is shortened 10mm the other is a shorter necked down 10mm)

Great video, can you explain a little about sight picture with a red dot. Sounds like the red dot is the only sight picture to concentrate on? Does it move as you move the gun? Would it almost make sense to put black tape on the iron sights until your brain makes that shift? I have a p320 compact, love it so far.

Thanks for the comment and great question! I find that co-witnessing helps when you first get started since your eyes may doubt what you are seeing vs where you will hit on the target. It's kind of like having a laser on the gun but the laser is contained within the sight itself. The one thing I noticed for me is I tend to shoot low with the red dot, but I think that will straighten out with time. I did the Glock 19 MOS in another video and I find I shoot it a little better since I am used to Glocks. If you have a chance, give a red dot a try! Cheers

i would not choose rx version, since i bot it for ccw. the red dot sight might impact the upholstering action so to speak. i plan to buy walther ppq q5 match and install deltapoint pro for just fun.

Thanks for the comment! The Q5 is a fantastic firearm. I did a review recently on one. It has a slightly better trigger than the standard PPQ which is hard to beat to begin with. I'm sure you will love it!

This would have been a good video with your new camera and lenses you said you were going to get for 2019. Do you have any idea how two shots in a row the slide didn't lock back one the last round.

Actually, I got the new camera gear at the beginning of 2019. I do agree that this vid would have been much better looking today. I believe the failures were my fault, though it’s been long enough that I’m not entirely sure. Thank you and cheers!

Trigger pull is well over 7lbs with stock trigger on my p320 and several others iv'e seen seen on Utube.

Jim Assalone thanks for the comment. I've heard others say that as well. I'm surprised though. Mine all come in just barely under 6 pounds. Maybe they changed trigger springs weights at some point? Not sure.

What was your distance? Pls try to show the target enlarged or closer so we can tell where you're hitting. It doesn't help after shooting 50 rds.

Thanks for the comment and great suggestion! I am a little hindered by the GoPro type cameras I use from a filming standpoint. That said, I shoot anywhere from 7 to 10 yards depending on the gun. Bald&curious thanks for the comment. Mine checks it at just under 6 pounds with the apex installed. It's pretty smooth and the break is clean. I think you'll be happy with it. Even the factory trigger is good. Better than a glock but maybe not as light and crisp as a PPQ. That said the rx platform is a ton of fun to shoot. I think you'll be happy with it. Keep me posted! I wanna try production optic division , so Apex trigger is no go . Read somewhere there's a way to reduce stock trigger weight by polishing and removing one of the springs

I have this pistol and really like it. The one problem I have is every magazine inserted releases slide. It has always taken a round in chamber but would rather overhand slide release it myself. Maybe this is built into gun purposely being more of a competition pistol? Anyone else having this happen with their P320RX? Also, the Romeo site glass sticks out slightly in front middle past metal sides making one hand racking risky at best. Could spider web the screen.

Thanks for the comment and question! I haven't experienced the slide being released when inserting a mag, even with force. Maybe something Sig should take a look at? Perhaps the trigger assembly isn't seated all the way? As for the Romeo, I agree it sticks out. I use the slide release instead of overhand. Cheers!

I love the stainless slide! I just bought an RX compact with a bunch of additional grips and a barrel x-change kit, but I want the full size in stainless. My last backordered Springfield Armory order with Cabbalas was disappointing. I paid for the gun and waited 3 months with not a single word or valid answer when it might arrive, so I cancelled. That said, I might be willing to risk it again to get the stainless version. Why in the heck is it a Cabellas only model. Grrr... Edit: Cabbalas doesn't show it on their website. Double grrr...

My wife bought the Full size P320 RX , and I am NOT impressed , poor build quality the slide it not tight you can grab around the front and squeeze and the back of the slide moves a 1/16 of an inch , it rocks back and forth pretty bad . Not all that accurate either , way over priced for what it is . I'm glad its hers and not mine as I would trade the turd for a CZ P-10C , as my CZ75B is SO much better then the P320 !
