it certainly is heavy. since i don't shoot for competition, i don't neccesarily need a heavy gun. i removed the weight in the grip module of the firearm and removed the mag well and its just about perfect. i purchased three Xfive 21 round magazines and its a great duty weapon. I've carried a HK USP .45 for years, but i think I'm going to replace the HK with this Sig. it shoots incredibly steady with minimal recoil. its amazing the first time i shot the gun, i was immediately impressed. i also put an Olight and the Romeo 1T and I'm ready to go

Where do you buy your aftermarket parts like the tungsten guide rod? Btw you do a fantastic job with your videos. Much appreciated

Milkman depends on the part. That guide rod I’m pretty sure can only be found at Springer Precision. The springs are available from many places. Some charge way more than others. For the spring kit now I would get from Armory Craft. They now have X5 and regular FS 320 tuning kits. The kits come with a steel guide rod. If you use Armory Craft please use my discount code SIGSAUERGUY5 to save yourself some money. Thank you sir for the compliment.

Great video. I have a standard P320x and was thinking of getting the TXG conversion kit. Besides the skeletonized trigger, is there any other differences between the FCU's? You mentioned that you changed the trigger bar and the trigger. If I change those on my current FCU, will I get the same performance as the Legion FCU?

Can someone explain to me how this "Tungsten-Infused Polymer" frame works w/ this new X-Five Legion? I'm slap-shit confused to be honest....... :\ I mean it sounds easy to understand, word-for-word & all, but here's why I'm confused on this. I have a normal Sig P320 X-Five w/ the Stainless-Steel slide, yet it says it has metal (maybe it's Tungsten specifically) "infused" w/ it/into it, but all it is is a small bar of metal that fits into that slot inside the pistol-grip that be [internally] right behind the magazine to give it more added weight, to make it feel like the weight is distributed throughout the entire gun evenly. So basically what I'm askin' is is the P320 X-Five Legion the same w/ the metal in the grip/frame like the normal P320 X-Five series of guns w/ the metal bar [internally] in the pistol-grip of the frame (such as the X-Five, X-Carry, X-VTAC, & lastly the X-Compact), or is the Tungsten actually combined/infused w/ the polymer, which means there's no way on God's Green Earth to separate the polymer & metal from one another since they're combined together by being melted together (for lack of better words), unlike the normal X-Five whereas I can remove the Tungsten bar that's inside of the pistol-grip?
@SigGuy5 жыл бұрын
Pharr Shot The latter is correct. Tungsten powder is mixed into the polymer when it is a liquid and then poured into the mold. It still has the slot for the module weight inside. I use the tungsten guide rod which is way heavier than a steel one as well. Basically all this we combine together reduces recoil.
@markanderson10885 жыл бұрын
Sig Sauer Guy I have an x5 legion and there are a couple upgrades I’d like to do. First is the tungsten guide rod, which I was hoping I could find in black but I’m starting to think that’s not available. Second, I was thinking of upgrading the trigger and that’s where my question is. Do you recommend armory craft or the sig Armorer to do the upgrades? I love your p226 trigger from armory craft, but I also love the work the sig Armorer did for you. If it was your gun and price wasn’t terribly an issue, what would you do? Thank you sir!
@SigGuy5 жыл бұрын
Mark Anderson Springer Precision makes the tungsten guide rods. Silver only. To tell you the truth my absolute favorite trigger in my X5 is The Sig Armorer competition level action job WITH an adjustable trigger. I was previously using the Keres but not the Armory Craft which will be out extremely soon. The SA job by itself is AMAZING. Even with ALL factory parts it is tight at the top of the list. I put the Keres adjustable in because I didn’t realize the stock trigger gets modified by the SA. I sent it with a curved trigger and I don’t like curved triggers. Put in the Keres and adjusted it. Zero pre and over travel. You’ve just got to experiment.

Beniamin Popusoi only you can decide that. Try both. See how it performs and feels to you. Inspect everything after to make sure there are no issues with whichever spring you decide to stick with. I don’t shoot 147 so I can’t answer that question. I shoot low power reloads in my X5L.

hmmm, your Legion did not come with a LCI (loaded Chamber Indicator). Everyone with a red dot optic hates it as the lens gets covered by carbon debris within 100 rounds. Compared to my standard/ original X-five, the barrel is pretty loose in the slide and the accuracy sucks. I am using the grip model with the FCU and slide from the standard X-five. I should have bought a grip module alone.

Bert the Builder The new trigger bar in the Legion has been re-design slightly. Overall it’s pretty much the exact same trigger bar but will allow for a manual safety. The trigger it self is redesigned yes. Lighter pole way and different trigger travel as well. There is a new trigger coming out for the 320 that’s going to be even better that is dual adjustable. The new trigger will be available from Armory Craft

Art Imla I have a comp. I tried it in the past. Not much of a difference IMO. By adjusting hand loads and tuning using different springs it already shoots really flat. With the addition of the heavy grip I’m sure it will be even flatter.
