The first range my wife and I had taken our newly purchased pistols to was an outdoor range. The range master went over all the rules and had plenty of advice. The best advice he gave, was to only load and shoot 5 rounds at a time. That familiarizes one to their weapon, gets you plenty of magazine loading practice, and your box of shells lasts a whole lot longer thus stretching out the fun.

These guns have massive problems compared to other quality guns. All anyone has to do is Google "P365" "forums" and "striker problems" "night sight died" or "light strikes" and they will find a ton of people who've had to send their 365s back to Sig. Usually in these forums they post Sig's warranty diagnostic letter/reply as confirmation of the problem. Sig is a Deep State gun company in bed with the Globalist Pentagon. The Deep State protects them by having judges throw out all the lawsuits against them before anything goes to a jury and the discovery process, where the truth will come out. I commend you for packing so much useful information into this video in addition to highlighting a particular pistol. I’ve had a 365 with manual safety for a little over a year. It is a good pocket pistol even with 12-round mags and is just as comfortable to carry IWB. My only problem was losing the tritium front sight insert which caused me to be without the slide for a week or so. These little critters are accurate. They are not good choices for the new or inexperienced. I teach CHL and am seeing the XL and Macro versions showing up in classes. Most of the time they are being shot for the first time despite claims to the contrary. I would strongly recommend anyone who buys one in the series to field strip and clean all the gunk out of them as Sig seems to put a fair amount of almost sticky preserving on the, especially inside the mags. Makes the mags work a little smoother. I use Speer Gold Dot 124 +ps. Mine seems to cycle anything not loaded by a drunk with a rock, however.

This' timely because I've been thinking about a new carry 9, even though I still like my XD-S 9 3.2. Several Sig autoloaders are on my radar. The performance of 9mm self-defense ammo can vary greatly, esp out of a relatively short barrel, say sub four inch. I stick with Hornady Critical Defense because it seems to expand well consistently. I'm not sold on relying on only Ballistics Gel testing, I think the Meat Target (serious recovery mojo to Paul Harrell) gives a much better picture of actual performance in a medium that better represents a human torso. It crazy how some defense rounds in certain calibers can change so greatly from a 3.3" barrel to a 4" one.

Jean and I each have one. Our #1 carry gun!
@jdontcare85208 ай бұрын
Not really surprising that it's the number 1 selling gun. It has a million different variants 😅. Personally, I like the Hellcat better than the standard P365. The Spectre Comp and XMACRO are on my to buy list. Great video, man!
@choccolocco8 ай бұрын
Yeah, I prefer the hellcat as well.

I bought a Sig 365 a couple of years ago after all the riots. However, it is locked but not loaded with the safety on all that can be loaded and fired within a second. I also use 25 ft. as the indoor range has it market on the wall. I also only go for head shots given all the bullet proof vests around that what I might be shooting at would likely wear one. I am thinking of buying a second Sig for the house as the other is in the car.

I prefer the 15 round magazine, it really fits my hand better. I had to buy a speed loader because I could only get 12 in the magazine without it.

Despite its small size, I happen to shoot this gun very accurately. Grip & ergonomics are great for my mid sized hands. Sights are top notch.

Great training ammo is Blazer and Remington 124 grain . Cost the same too .

I had the same model. I replaced it with a Mete MC9. I was going to get rid of it even before trying the MC9 because when carried the top round in the mag would come loose. Drop the mag after carrying it and the loose round would fall out. The MC9 has a much better trigger is more accurate has a standard rail and is optic ready, It's a much better gun for less money.

I’ve been looking at one of those, but I’m still interested in the p320 Also Yesterday I was at one of my LGS, and they had a very cool item up for grabs and I had to get it so I placed it on layaway. It’s a 50th anniversary, (1956-2006) Ruger Blackhawk in .44 magnum (not the Super BlackHawk but based on the original flat top Ruger) came with the original box, paper work, everything. I’ll soon be adding another Ruger Sixgun to my collection

Wow! Great find. I would love to own a 50th anniversary .44 Blackhawk. I just want you to know that I am extremely jealous right now.

The Sig P365 is the original high capacity micro compact that many others have tried to copy like the hellcat and shield plus and the P365 will always be the original and the best👏🏻

Hello SIGP365. I only own one P365 but that might change in the future. I just ordered a Wilson Combat grip module for my P365 and I should have it next week. I do own a Sig P226 that was manufactured in West Germany in 1989 and it will belong to my son someday.

My wife has the 365 rose and she likes it to the point I can't borrow it 😅. Living in bear country I do carry fmj in the woods. Everywhere else I use the premium self defense loads

Looked at this gun yesterday at my local gun store. Way too tiny for my hands. Tried the xl and the macro. Macro Felt good but the slide lock was very difficult to release. Slide felt gritty and not smooth racking it. Was not the case at all with the 365 and the xl. Just the macro.
@choccolocco8 ай бұрын
That could probably be remedied with a thorough cleaning, but I’m not a fan of having to service a brand new pistol, especially given the price.

Good cleaning, inspection, and lubrication. Followed by 250+ RDS to break it in.

I definitely agree with not using full metal jacket ammunition for self defense, unfortunately some states won’t allow you to use hollow points. Which to me makes no sense.

My wife got one. I shot it. I bought one for myself right away. This was when only the original version was available, and I still think it's perfect for carry. I found it really easy to shoot accurately and fast. Sub-4" 10-shot groups,
