In this video, we're going to be showing you how to field strip & clean the Sig Sauer Scorpion 1911, Sig's high-end factory 1911 that comes standard with a Cerakote finish and Piranha grips.
Sig has a number of different firearms in their Scorpion line, everything from the 1911 down to the P938. All of them feature a Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Cerakote finish, SIGLITE Night Sights, Piranha grips, and an accessory rail.

Same cleaner I always use. Works just fine. Very good tip, allowing gravity to be your friend, to keep gunk and solvents out of those areas.

I've found that toothpicks are VERY useful for gun cleaning. Be careful if you use metal dental picks, they can be a little aggressive.

This is my favorite pistol I've owned out of 22-ish pistols, this and my Colt m1991A1 (and some HKs and SIGs and a Smith Shield PErformance Center I got for my wife, I mean there are contenders when you've owned that many, I'm sure you understand, lol) . But I LOVE my SIG 1911, it's so functional it flawlessly runs magazines that give some of my other friend's high end 1911s issue, including a $1600 Kimber and $2500 Les Baer

We recommend cleaning your gun every time you shoot it.

I clean all my guns after I shoot them weather I shoot it 20 times or a 100....Then back in the safe .... I can't stand a dirty gun !!!!

Was going to ask him for his honet opinion ....comparing the SIG ES to the Wilsons he's shot that cost 3x as much...no one's really made any videos willing to make an honest opinion....as to if they think a custom is worth 3x or more the cost of a "mid-priced 1911".....i thinkt he difference is negligible. ..that we're paying for to the "finishing " work on the outside of the gun and marginally "tighter tollerances" which I think is overrated...."accaracy is in the hands of the shooter (IMHO)"....(shooting basics....it's not magic. :)
