I don't know just how many times I have turned to this song in the last 9 months. Sometimes in times of great despair and sometimes with only love in my heart. Either way, each time I sing the song with Ella, I am reminded of the human condition. Yes we each have or will have problems and challenges, COVID among them. We each have or had hopes and dreams. What we came here for, Love. Whether it is simply a kind word or gesture, an open ear to listen, the romance of a lifetime or all of the possibilities in between. We all share this crazy condition called humanity, yet we often need to be reminded to be humane, our differences unimportant. I hear Love every time I listen to this song and reminded of the human condition in which we all struggle.
