I’ve actually looked back at this video a few times since making it and thought I was a little silly here at times getting so close to the water and turning my back to it. I have the 12-16lb 5foot6 refraction I use for throwing prongs and paddle prawns at jacks and it's such a nice rod. Also works a treat on bigger model sootys. Can't wait to get the 16-20 for Barra I'm so keen I just can't get one in Cairns. Hopefully soon! Cheers Luke 👍🏻🎣

Yeah no worries buddy I have the 12-16b also and love it for jacks and smaller Barra but I really like the extra rigidity and poke of the slightly heavier model. I find it better to more accurately cast the heavier lures among the mangroves as well as the extra muscle when required to stop the larger Barra. Have you tried asking you local take store to see if they can special order one in for you with their next store order from frogleys offshore?

Yeah I spoke with Damien at frogleys and he said they're still doing the wishlist thing so I can get it through frogleys offshore and pay and pick it up from tackleworld Cairns. Pretty happy about that 😁
