Coach Sal is no nonsense. He's an excellent teacher. Plus, he'll scream in your face, grab your face mask and lay hands on you when you mess up. LOL He's like an old school parent who will whop your ass with a switch when you F-UP! These young boys ain't use to that. He's trying to be positive and realistic about the level of talent he is dealing with, but it must be frustrating for him at times compared to the Alabama defensive players he coached. Once the new recruits and transfer portal guys come in things will be better, but Coach Sal will be on their asses too. Love him! ❤🔥🏈🦬

Coach Sal has put so many DLineman in the NFL it's hard to count them all IMO probably one of the best D lineman coaches in College football he has many Rings to prove it he's hard but he's fair and if you do what he ask of you to do you will be a helluva good d lineman when you're done. He doesn't caddle his players because he doesn't have time for that his job is on the line everyday and these kids and parents forget that when they get mad when they don't put forth the effort or learn the technique and half ass it and get cut Coach prime and his coaching staff aren't the ones going to let you hangout for 4 years and just say your on the team it's cutthroat either your productive and helping the team win or it's Time to move on point blank period! #SKOBUFFS #WECOMING

Sal said from day one: they need to get in shape. How many times after a run or an exercise did you hear the coaches yell: “get your hands off your sides. Stand up” in those practice videos. They were still winded at the end of spring practice. Kelly and Sal saw top caliber players up close at Alabama. They were not impressed with ANY of the d-line play all spring. Wow. That’s tough. Hopefully the new guys will get yelled at less because they buy in more.

These great content videos are for us true, passionate, and knowledgeable CU football program supporters; not the victimized, ignorant fairweather 'fans.' If you practice like garbage, what do you actually expect to happen on Saturdays? Not being good enough is one thing, not trying is another...no more free rides, those days are over. The new CU football ain't for most; take your 'talent,' and lack of effort/determination elsewhere. For all the participation trophy fans, you'll always find something to complain about. Sko Buffs, We Comin,' Trust the Process...Thx Unc.

I feel for these kids. Some looked exhausted, and some looked confused. Either way, it's just not good enough. Seems some basic techniques are just lacking. Aside from parents, teachers and coaches play a huge part in a kid's life. Seems these kids' coaches failed them before they even got to CU, where losing became acceptable. My heart aches for all the kids that tried hard but were let go regardless. It just wasn't good enough. It happens. I hope they land at a program where they can be successful with good coaching. I really do wish these kids the best.

One of the greatest response. I totally agree. The other Coahes were misleading. There are READS that some some just do not understand. I believe they all have passion, though. It's not all their fault. I'm thinking at this point, these guys have to be hood or even great if they're still there. I would work with them and help fix the little concerns, that seems not to be any fault of their own. Young men are fighting hard. CU BUFFS is under management that they've never had. Excellent comments.

I have no problem with Coach Sal, but he needs to know that each player learns differently. Some players may need you in their face, others may need you to approach them another way. I have two sons and each one had to be corrected, challenged, and encouraged differently. But, I will say it’s good seeing what Coach Prime and his staff are doing. We need more coaches who have a desire to coach and know how to coach. Go CU!

Their position coaches gave the assessments as teachers to the principal Coach Prime. Some of you are defending these guys who didn't win last year and won't win this year! These coaches are coaching with transparency! When you look at these guys stats and then they are watching them in practice... it's not hard to see that they're not what this team needs! I implore you to follow them to their next schools if you're so concerned and see who makes it to the NFL! Some are complaining about practice film... PRACTICE FILM! If I was a coach I'm not picking you off of practice film if you weren't good enough to get on the field. I understand injuries, but I'm 8 minutes from one of the biggest B1G football programs and I get the whole thing! Either you take this guy's spot, you wait your turn, or you get replaced, forced out, or however you look at it! Can an athletic scholarship be taken away? Losing an athletic scholarship is the unfortunate reality for some college student-athletes. There are a few different situations in which this might occur: Most commonly, the student-athlete might never have had the scholarship to begin with. Verbal agreements are non-binding; they do not guarantee you a spot on the roster or a scholarship. Even once you’ve signed your National Letter of Intent, your agreement might not include scholarship aid. If you are injured, depending on the school you attend and whether it happened outside of games or practice, your scholarship can be pulled. Coaches can decide not to renew your scholarship for the next year. This isn’t a case of the scholarship being “taken away” since they are typically only year-long contracts, but it can still come as a surprise to some student-athletes. Non-renewals can happen for various reasons, including a new coach joining the program, getting into trouble on or off the field, poor performance, etc. If you are not eligible to compete for any reason-poor academics, not in good standing with the school, etc.-a coach is not likely to keep you on scholarship!

Coach Sal on point that's what these young men need. Somebody that can be on them like white on rice. And I heard this statement from my ex if you cant take the heat stay out of the kitchen. These young men have to learn about the skills that are being taught to them by the coaches. That is why Coach Prime hired them. I went through this at culinary school a Chef yelled at me because I was slow not cutting up the onions fast enough. So I pray for these young men that they understand what the coaches want from them. These are life skills for sure.
